“THANKS EVERYONE, FOR coming,” a grinning Gladys, dressed as a medieval princess, says through her bullhorn. There are about twenty children and parents, including Miriam with Catherine, Max, and JP. Louise Harrell is there with Martin’s three nieces—Sophie, Lucy, and Therese. Most of the others I recognize are from the parish, but there are a couple of Helen’s officers with their children.
“We’re really excited about being able to present this, Saint Clare Catholic Church’s first—but hopefully not last—Fairy Tales and Frights. If you don’t already know, all the money raised is going to help fund the renovations of this wonderful historic house necessary to turn it into the Saint Francis Education Center.”
