I had to strain to hear him, but I knew that he loved that woman dearly so that was the highest compliment. No matter what Ken found out, I wasn’t worried. I was optimistic. “Well then, we better watch a really fun movie tonight so the three of you can have something fun to tell your gran when you get there.”
He smiled up and me and nodded quickly before shoving more food in his mouth. “Thanks mom.” Ricky mumbled before continuing the last section of his meal.
“Good news too.” Benson said with a sigh of relief.
“How so?” I asked curiously.
“Well, since you said we were going in the morning, I’m glad Ian’s story checks out.” He tapped my nose then grabbed the remote from the arm of the couch. “Now, about that movie….”
