Chapter 4

REVENGE. Isla's POV. "My child." I heard a non-familiar voice and opened my eyes to find myself in a dark place. I blinked, trying to wave around with my hands when a bright light flashed out of nowhere. "Are you ready to bear the consequences of a second chance at life?" The same voice asked and I furrowed my brows in confusion. "Who are you?" I asked, and the voice laughed, a sound I felt behind me, so I immediately turned to see a gorgeous woman, dressed in all white and stretching her hands towards me. "I am here to grant your wish. You want a new fate, you want to get revenge and make everything right?" She inquired and I nodded, remembering the grave betrayal I experienced. "Alright then. Your wish is granted, but then remember this: only he can help you with a successful pathway. You were destined to be together from the beginning." The voice explained and before I could inquire what she meant, I heard the snap of a finger and everything went blank again. When next I opened my eyes, I was surprised to find myself in my house, on the bed without a single scratch. My heart skipped a beat as I sat up slowly glancing around in confusion. 'Wasn't this place burned?' I pondered but then it hit me that I had been reborn. I got dressed for school silently, walked out of my cottage, and began to make my way to high school. I took the woods part I normally took and was about to climb one of the rocks when this scene looked awfully familiar to me. I froze in my steps, looking around immediately. As I was about to take another step, memories hit me and I had a flashback. If I proceeded to climb the next rock, I would trip and fall backwards, injuring myself greatly. This was also where I met Lila again and this path began our friendship. Just then, I heard the sound of a twig snap and looked back immediately, scanning the environment with my eyes, only to see Lila behind the tree. The side of my lips curled into a smirk before I could stop it, as I now understand that she planned my fall as well, to become my Savior. 'Too bad, those tricks are old now.' I thought and began to wonder how to get over the rock when an immense strength filled me and I found myself jumping to the high part of the mountain and continued my journey. 'I could jump now?' I pondered, wanting to scream when I heard a loud yell, followed by the sound of someone falling. I stopped and looked downwards, to see Lila covered in bruises and blood. The rocks that were set for me had fallen on her. How? I had no idea and just left without looking backwards. She was the reincarnation of the moon goddess; she would heal. I was about to get to school when a group of familiar bullies surrounded me, grinning happily, slamming the sticks they held against their palms. "Well, well, well, isn't it my favorite junior? The cursed omega." The leader of the bullies, Jack, mocked, and I just held the straps of my bag as I glared at him. He staggered backwards a bit, shocked, before twisting his face into a scowl and rushing to hit me with the stick when I raised my leg up unconsciously and kicked him in the face. His nose broke, a few teeth scattering to the floor as he collapsed on the ground unconscious, his eyes bulging. A gasp escaped his comrades who were earlier smiling as their jaw dropped. "Attack her." Jack's second in command yelled and they all rushed forward towards me. Surprisingly I wasn't scared as I picked up Jack's stick and began using it to break their bones. A few minutes later, they were all lying on the floor out cold while I walked into the school building, ignoring other students who were shocked to see that I wasn't greeting them as usual. 'Well, they can all go to hell now.' I thought, remembering how I used to try to kiss up to their asses so I would be spared of pain and mockery. As I sat in my private garden in school, where no one bothered visiting, I felt my shoulder begin to itch and opened my shirt to see that the mark was glowing. Just then; My eyes darkened as I began to see everything that had once happened in this garden. I was so shocked that I fell from the chair. TF was that? "Someone isn't getting the hang of her powers?" I heard a familiar voice and stiffened. 'Was that....?' I pondered, turning around to see Theo sitting on the tree right beside my chair but why did he look so different? He was dressed in the school uniform, his long hair braided and packed, earrings in his ears. He no longer looked like a nerd and seemed more confident. Then I remembered how he tricked me in my past life, got my bag, and wanted to leave when; "How do you feel, waking up two years before your death?" He suddenly asked and I dropped my bag out of shock, my legs wobbling as I widened my eyes at him. I wanted to speak, but words got stuck in my throat as I wondered how he knew. "You have just two years, Isla, two years to get your revenge; otherwise, you shall die again." He began to speak, jumping down from the tree and walking towards me. I took a step backwards unconsciously, as he came closer, licking his lower lips and pushing me against one of the walls, his hands caging me as he bent to my face. Just when I closed my eyes, my heart pounding against my chest, he grabbed my wrist and brought it to my face. "Do you know what this means?" He inquired, pointing to a line that I never even noticed was there.
