MICKEY RETURNED TO Chris’ house, although he wasn’t very happy at the prospect of leaving Chris to the tender mercies of the doctors. He parked Mabel in the garage, went into the house, and made a careful inspection of the place. This is more than adequate for two people, he thought, but as soon as my condo sells, we’ll probably want to buy a house.
He noted that the house was fairly clean, but decided to take the time and energy to thoroughly clean it himself. That ought to take my mind off of things for a while. Once the place was spotless, he made some measurements and drew a few diagrams. This place will hold all of my furniture, he thought. We can move Chris’ furniture to storage until it can be sold.
