Chapter 2

The training started with me have to run a 10 miles in my human form without any breaks. I started sprinting round the ground enjoying the cool breeze hitting my face bringing a smile. The pack warriors start their training by 6, which gives us plenty of time alone to have the ground to ourselves. Dad decided to train me before dawn to avoid prying eyes of other warriors and got permission from the alpha for the same. When we started training a year back, my dad wanted me to learn the basic techniques to take care of myself from any bullies in school. But when we started training, he noticed that I am stronger than I look. Eventhough my wolf scent is changed, the alpha strength remained. When dad noticed that I have capacity to be a leader he started training me hard and early in the morning to avoid unnecessary issue to pop up. Normal werewolves mature at an age of 16, but being an alpha I shifted when I was 12. My dad thought I was a normal wolf who was yet to shift and so he trained me hard in my human form. Dad always says this when I sit exhausted after the training “Beth, if you train to take down a wolf in your human form, you can take down 100 wolves easily in wolf form". True Indeed. I can feel my wolf getting stronger everyday and sometimes I practice in my wolf form in the woods without my dad knowing. Well my wolf needs a break from my human form too right. After training and exhausting myself where I can’t take it no more, I could sense the scent of other wolves coming towards the ground. Time to leave. We reached our home by 6.15 and went on with our daily routine. Being a Sunday, and with no friends to party my holidays consists of binge watching Korean dramas. I love Korean dramas, I mean who doesn’t. Time flies when you do something you love right. Sunday came to an end and I was in bed dreading Monday morning. Oh how I would love to stay in bed all the time. How much life will be easier if things happen as our wish. But unfortunately we have a life where we can expect only the unexpected. I forced myself to sleep to avoid puffy face with bags under the eyes when I wake up. Well we don’t want a puffy face in school do we?. If not for anything else, I should thank god for my 5.8” body without any flaws and curves at the right places. Thanks to the alpha blood too. I drifted to sleep embracing my favorite pillow but not before remembering Stephen's face and determination filling my heart.
