Elaine “Kave!” His name tore from my lips, raw and desperate, as I stopped struggling against Ryne’s grip. My heart stuttered in my chest, the air thick with tension and the scent of blood and snow. Kave stood there, a living storm, his snarl vibrating through the clearing like thunder. His head lowered, lips curled back to reveal a terrifying set of teeth, and his eyes—those eyes—burned with fury.
