I sat on the edge of Kave’s enormous king-sized bed, my fingers curling into the crisp black-and-white duvet. Everything in the room was sleek, masculine, and perfectly coordinated—just like him. The bold contrast suited Kave’s presence, but the sharp lines and cold tones made me feel… out of place. It was all so polished, so impersonal. I couldn’t imagine my lace underthings scattered across the bed or my lipstick tubes rolling over the surface of the dresser.
