"And why should we listen to you, you old woman?" One man spoke.
"Because this is my forest and you just crossed the line. If you want to live, leave my forest and if not am scared my hounds will deal with you" she replied with a wicked smile.
Just before they could react to that, 4 beast hounds come racing for them. Just in front for my eyes one tore thought one guard as the others ran for their lives. Just then I knew who the woman was. She was Zura the wicked. Zura is a Scarry story that every mother and father tells their child if he misbehaves to keep then in place. Zura and her wicked wounds. The stories say she is blind but this woman looks okay to me. Maybe am wrong but the hounds prove it. I need to escape before am next.
"I know you are up there little one. Get down before you get hurt from been up there for too long."
Is she talking to me?
"You heard me before I change my mind." She spoke again, this time she looked up and yes she was blind with eyes of white.
Slowly I get down and she gives me her hand to take. Should I touch her? I maybe next. Stories say she eats young fae for beauty.
"Will you take my hand or face the hounds when they get back pretty lady?" She asked
I placed my trembling hand into hers as she carefully lead me to her little house. Surprisingly the house was beautiful, painted green with beautiful flowers covering it. Just across it I saw a garden with so many fruits and vegetables growing.
"Am a vegetarian. But you think I eat fae. How hilarious." She said.
She later lead me to the kitchen where she sat me down and fed me perfectly cooked vegetable's.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because with you comes the beginning and ending of this world my dear. That's why you need to go and fullfil the prophecy." She replied. With those few words she packed a few veggies and warm cloths later set me off. On my way I met the hounds but instead of chasing me, they bowed their heads and gave we way to pass.
As weird as that was, I started running just on the end of the forest to ran into the king himself.
