I woke up to the ring of my cell phone; Liz was no longer in bed.
I looked at the screen of my cell phone; it was a call from the university.

"Hello!"
"Hello, Mr. McNight!" It was the secretary. "The director wants to know if something happened because this is your class time and the next one too."
"I'm at the police station. I had a little problem, but I'm on my way."
Damn!
"Okay, I'll tell the director."

I hung up without even saying thanks.
I jumped out of bed and went to Liz's room, but she wasn't there. She must have gone to the university and didn't call me.
I didn't understand what exactly had happened. I went back to my room, took a quick shower, changed, and headed to the university.
