Carrie and Drew walked together to the pack house. They took comfort in each other’s company and the quiet of Blue Moon. Carrie sighed and leaned her head against Drew’s shoulder as they walked.
“Do you think Hailey will recover and that Ollie can find Kyle before he does anything else?” Carrie quietly asked.
“I think only time will tell when it comes to Hailey. She is getting the best care possible. It all depends on how quickly her body can heal and repair the damage that has been done,” Drew replied, kissing Carrie on the head. “As for Kyle, if Ollie can’t find him, I will. I don’t let my wolf out to hunt often, but Onyx has been begging for the opportunity to take a bite out of Kyle.”
Carrie frowned, “Yeah, I’m not sure that second part makes me feel better about any of this.”
