Carrie and Drew had gotten their drinks and moved to a sitting area in a corner of the living room. Others came and went as they spoke, but they had been unbothered by their presence. The pair were getting along as if they had known each other for years, and while Carissa was unaware of why, Drew understood it was the mate bond already forming between them.
