Hailey had stopped on her way to see Kyle and picked up coffee for both of them. She still wasn't hungry, and she hoped a mocha latte would make her feel better. If nothing else, the caffeine in it would help her stay awake for the drive home.
When she pulled into the driveway, it felt strange to see Carrie’s SUV parked in its usual spot and know that she was not there. Hailey felt sick about that. She was happy that Carrie was away from Bozeman and hopefully enjoying herself, but she was still a little jealous of her. She had always had a crush on Drew. Seeing him holding Carrie and saying that she was his had hurt. Then again, she had deserved that and more for cheating with Kyle and crushing her best friend.
