The discussion in the waiting room was minimal as they waited for Dr. Baker or another staff member to come out and give them more information about Hailey’s condition. The sound of hushed words and footsteps nearing the room made everyone look at the door in anticipation. Grayson and Evelyn stepped in, falling silent as they saw the worried, expectant looks on everyone's faces.
“Is there word yet on the girl?” Grayson asked as he and Evelyn took seats near the door.
Drew glared at his father and replied, “Hailey is in surgery. The doctor sent someone to let us know that they had drilled the hole in her skull and were in the process of removing the blood clot and putting in a drain. With some luck, they will be done soon. Thankfully, Hailey is still stable and is doing well as they work
