“I will be fine,” Drew replied, doing his best to hide his horror at the idea of Hailey acting as his nurse. He felt his wolf snort in the back of his mind at the thought of being near Hailey more than necessary. “I inhaled a little smoke from the fireplaces as I came in. That must be it. I will be fine in a few minutes.”
“Drew!” a familiar voice came from deeper inside the house.
Drew breathed a sigh of relief at the sound of John’s voice calling to him. He looked past Hailey and saw John walking toward him with a stunning brunette on his arm.
