When Drew, Carrie, and Luke arrived at the airport, Kade and Addie were there waiting for them and the plane to touchdown. Carrie’s heart skipped as she saw the ambulance arrive to transport Hailey to the hospital. She looked at Drew, who was holding her hand as they sat in the backseat. She was still hurt by what Hailey did, but if that had not happened, she would not be looking forward to her life with Drew in Blue Moon. No matter what else happened, she was thankful for Drew and her future in the pack.
“Are you alright, or would you like Addie to join us in the car to help you stay calm before the plane arrives?” Drew asked. He could feel Carrie's tension, anger, sadness, and gratitude swirling together as it oozed out of her.
