Carrie took a final look at herself in the mirror, tucking her hair behind her ear before stepping into the hallway. Drew was waiting for her and smiled when his eyes fell on her. He skimmed his eyes over her appraisingly and nodded his approval of a sweater, skinny jeans, and the booties she had purchased the day before.
“You are ravishing my dear,” Drew said as he looped his arm around her waist and gave her a tender kiss. “Are you ready to meet my parents?”
