Drew watched as Carrie walked away from the hospital entrance and toward the shopping district. He knew that as Luna, Carrie would have to be alone at times as she moved about the pack. Still, it bothered him. They still did not know where Kyle was, and after the incident with Delilah, Drew was worried about his mate.
A man nodded at Carrie as he walked by her. It looked like a perfectly normal interaction until Drew recognized him as a member of the pack’s security team. Drew’s eyes flicked back to Carrie as she walked. He breathed a sigh of relief as other security team members became visible as she walked past them. Their interactions would have been dismissed by anyone who was not aware of the issues and looking for threats or protectors.
