Delilah had quickly packed her wallet, cell phone, a couple of changes of clothing, snow boots, and a coat into a duffel bag. Those were the things she would need the most when she was outside the pack. She knew she would only be outside the pack by a few miles and with her brother to boot, but she still wanted to be prepared.
She was zipping the bag when the ripple went through her. She had never experienced it before, but she instinctively knew that meant Drew had claimed the human and marked her. It was like a punch to her chest as air whooshed out of her lungs. Delilah let out a guttural roar as rage filled her and oozed out of every pore. An Alpha being with a human was bad enough, but marking her as his mate was beyond contempt. That mark was meant for her. Delilah was sure of that.
