She turned her attention to the youngsters and said, “If you two are going to start school next year, I might be your teacher. Would you like that?” “You would teach us?” Dallas asked. His and his sister’s eyes grew wide at the idea of Carrie teaching them. “Of course I would. I love to teach. I like to do all kinds of experiments and tell stories about all sorts of things,” Carrie said, giddy at the prospect of teaching in the pack. She glanced around the dining hall to see several other children watching them. “Would you two like to hear a story now? I bet other kids would like to join us.
