Carrie had been staring out the window for most of the flight. She loved nature and hoped to spend time outside during her visit to Blue Moon. Drew had promised to get her a camera that she could keep at his home to use whenever she came back. Carrie hoped he meant that, because the farther they flew, the denser the forests became, and the trees called to her.
She felt Drew slip his hand around hers and squeeze it as she gazed out the window. The tingles of their bond prickled at her skin. Carrie smiled as she turned and looked at Drew. He was smiling at her, his peridot eyes sparkling as they crinkled.
“Are you ready to meet my Beta and his mate?” Drew asked. “They are waiting for us at the airstrip and can hardly contain their excitement.”
“I think so,” Carrie said as she looked down
