Prologue

"What the f*ck are you doing!?" ... "You littl-!" ... Long black hair whipped his face, a disturbingly sinister smile, wide and sadistic peeking through the darkness on the beholder's face. ... "Who are you...?" ... A sharp pain shot up his leg. ... "So easy to fool." ... Blurriness was all he saw, muffled words meeting his ears. ... "You know who I am." ....... .... . The dark haired man sighed, rubbing his temples tiredly. Frustrated at the few memories he could recall, he took another sip of his wine. "Thinking about last month?" Said man swiveled around in his office chair and looked at his friend, frowning. "I can only remember bits and pieces, it's so irritating." The words were spiteful, and his deep, husky voice added onto the effect. "You'll remember eventually I guess," The friend slapped the black haired man's broad shoulder, hidden by his dark suit. "But Auros, you gotta get a bodyguard soon." Auros rolled his emerald eyes, looking at his friend incredulously, "You're not still on that Mark..." Mark huffed, nodding. Auros was a very tall, nearly a 6'4 Greek God. His body was carved to perfection, his obvious muscles being framed through his suit like a delicacy. He didn't need a bodyguard. He could defend himself just fine - at least that's what he thought. Since that day, he's been unsure. Did he really need one? Auros glanced at the file of resumes in his lap, and flung it at Mark. He didn't want one, so he wasn't getting one. - "Dude, really?" Mark flipped through the various papers, reading each applier's credentials. Auros' companies standard is to judge people by their work, not appearance, so there were no pictures to go with the descriptions. "Hmm... What type of style are you looking for? Maybe...," Mark flipped his red hair to side, hazel eyes gleaming, "Hot and sexy~?" Auros simply clicked his tongue, genuinely annoyed. "I'm not looking for anyone." Yet he was unable to keep his mind off the incident. Who was that woman? He knew he hadn't seen her before. Then again, he forgets the majority of the women he meets. "Auros, how about this guy? Boxing, Karate, and he won numerous awards for his skills! Wait, how about Naginatajutsu!?" "Mark, I don't think hitting people with a stick is very effective." Mark fake pouted, making Auros grimace, his nose crinkling against his flawless tanned skin. "I like... A guy who can keep his opponent at bay, but not create a scene...," Mark nodded at Auros' statement, gasping when he found a certain file. Mark grinned to himself, folding the page, and tucking it into the pocket of his vibrant red shirt, "I've found 'em. Be in the interviewing room at 8:30 AM, you won't regret it." Auros nodded ignoring most of his words, shooing him out. "Yep, bye Mark - don't come back." And he heard the click of the door to satisfy his words. Leaning back in his chair, he glanced around his top-of-the-line office. 'Better get a key card for this person...' ✻✻✻✻ The young boy swallowed nervously, his small hands fiddling with the folder in his lap. Seated in a chair belonging to the biggest company in the world, he was mentally preparing himself for the interview with the CEO. Auros Ashen. All the rumors about him had the boy flushed. Some said he'd sleep with only the hottest supermodels, regardless of their gender. Others say he only talks to a few people. Either way, he nearly fell out of his seat when the door opened, and in walked the finest man only one's fantasies could create. His jawline could cut steel, and his eyes... The boy held his breath, gazing at him in awe. Auros, now sitting cleared his throat amused. "Ah, good morning Sir," The boy felt his face warm knowing Auros caught him staring. "My name is Everen Dew. I'm here for the bodyguard position." Auros' mouth went agape. 'What?' He thought. 'How could this tiny boy possibly hold up in a fight?' Auros eyed him closely. He was quite the cute little thing. Honey-like skin, deep brown eyes, dark blonde hair, and the cutest dimples on his cheeks. Everen handed Auros his folder, and he opened it up to find his credentials. Auros read his health details. He was barely meeting 5'3, how could he do anything? When he was handed the folder, Auros eyed Everen's exposed wrists. 'So tiny... He's like a baby...' "Well," Auros nearly choked when reading Everen's areas of expertise. "I see you're efficient in Karate, Taido, this, that, and even Kajukenbo?" The small boy nodded proudly. "I see..." Auros stood up from his chair, prodding Everen to do the same. "Block my punch." "...Wait wh-!?" Before Everen could finish his sentence, he saw a fist being thrown at him. Reacting on reflexes, he struck his hand out, knocking the wrist. Auros, surprised but unhurt, nodded satisfied. Amazed at how he could stop a punch with those slender arms, his tiny frame was the perfect trap. "You've got the job." Everen's eyes lit up like the stars. "Really!!?" Auros nodded, biting back a smile. 'He's so cute.' After being explained everything by Auros, Everen made his way home. He still couldn't wrap his head around the idea of being able to work for this man. But, why would he need a bodyguard? Everen strolled along the puddle-filled sidewalk, contemplating the thought. He looked much stronger than Everen, so the thought was baffling. Regardless, Everen was overjoyed. He needed something to keep him busy, and this was the perfect job. His older sister forced him to learn martial arts at three, saying he was 'too cute and would get eaten up.' He ended up sticking with it, since he could ogle and surprise the muscly men practicing with his size. 'Work starts tomorrow... you've got this Everen!' He slapped his cheeks determined, and entered his house ready to share the news.
