“Michael, where have you been?” Spencer asked as I shut the bedroom door behind me. I’d paced back and forth along the length of the balcony for the last ten minutes, bringing myself down from the dangerous high I’d felt minutes ago. “Cooling off. How are you feeling?” Spencer was under the blankets, his head propped up by pillows. His eyes were half shut, and he had a serene smile stretched across his face. “I’m thinking about our first kiss.” He patted the bed. “Come here.” His words were slurring even more than before.
