"How long will you take to come back, Aunty?" Chase asked me while I was placing his things in Adam's corner.
"I don't think it should be longer than my working hours. I will update you after reaching there," I said and muffled his hair to make him feel comfortable.
Although my last encounter with my father was short, still, Chase is scared of him coming back to our place. He saw how he tried to attack me and how our new neighbours, who are our friends now, saved me from him.
Sometimes I am still not able to believe how can he attempt to attack his own blood. I understand that he hates me for something that I didn't commit but Chase? How can he hate him so much and try to harm him?
