48 – BURNING DAMON My heart skipped a bit as I sat there staring at my arm that felt like it had just been cut to the bone, I didn’t know which one shocked me more, the fact that I had just experienced something this horrible, the content of the message I just received or the fact that someone was knocking at my door by this time. For a brief moment, I was frozen in a state of confusion, beads of sweat formed on my forehead as I looked from my arm to the door and then back at my hand again. The small timid knock sounded at the door again. I sniffled and caught a whiff of Rebekka’s scent and my heart fluttered, a feeling of anxiety washed over me.
