Chapter Seven

Kaila's POV

After watching my parents be taken by Mitchell I was angry. So angry that it didn't matter that I had my mate, I was going to hurt someone if I didn't leave. When I teleported out of his lap, I didn't think I just did. Then I landed in my parents' house, the smell of their blood on the floor and wall set me off. I lost the last bit of control I had and released my magic in a huge blast that shook the house. Then I cried until James and Celeste found me and took me home. Every time I thought about him harming my parents I got mad all over again. After about thirty minutes of this circle, I had no tears left and I was in desperate need of blood and rest. "Are you okay now?" Celeste says wiping my forehead with a damp towel. I nod still not trusting my voice, I hadn't told them what happened, I was to busy screaming and crying but now I was tired and as mad as I was I wanted my mate. So I called and as I told Tanya and my mate what had happened, James and Celeste found out. It was James turn to get mad and I knew I needed at nap before I headed back. I could only hope Tanya would explain enough by the time I got back. "It's okay hun, you are going to find them all. Let your mate help you don't think you have to do this alone." Celeste says rubbing my back as I sip my drink. I'm still angry but I feel calmer and mostly exhausted. As she is rubbing my back, I find myself leaning into her as the cup slips. I shake my head and finish the cup before laying on her lap and falling asleep dreaming of deep brown eyes and the scent of salty pine trees.

Lucius's POV

After we get the Lunas secured, everyone starts to go there own way. We all decided that we'd continue the summit while guarding them. Tanya and her dad followed me into my office and as I sat on my desk I look at Tanya, "Okay, what does my mate what you to tell me?" Tanya sighs and starts with, "Well, you see, she’s..." She swallows hard but before I demand her to speak, she sighs and launches into Kaila's story as best she can. When she stops, I look at her and says, "Okay, let me see, she's an Angel with powers and she can teleport, plus has telepathic and telekinetic powers. She from time to time drinks blood and she left me because she was angry and scared she's lose control of her magic hurting those that was in my room. Not to mention her gift of foresight." She nods and says, "Basically." I'm in awe and silently thanking the moon goddess for blessing me with such a special mate.

She also has a dormant wolf. Sebastian says pulling me out of my thoughts

I look at them, "Who are her parents?" Alpha Mathers says, Christopher and Annalise Parks." My whole world stops as the air is forced from my lungs. "Mitchell took them because they fought by my pack with that fail attempt." I tell them putting everything together. Tanya and Robert's mouth drop as she shakes her head. "This is about revenge, mom because you wouldn't give him the pack, Aunt Anna and Uncle Chris because they teamed with you Alpha, your Luna because you fought against him and Crystal Moon's Luna because what?" "She's the collateral damage.. not my parents." I turn and see my mate as she teleports in. Her scent fills me as I take her in. She looks tried and I could tell she'd been crying a lot.

"Hi," I whisper as I walk over to her. "Hi," she says shyly before I pull her into a hug and she wraps her wings around me. I hesitate for a moment before pecking her lips. Then she turns to Alpha Mathers, "Uncle Rob, I'm sorry.. about everything but I know you are making a wise choice." She leans in close and whispers something to him and I force myself to keep my growl in check. His eyes widen and he says, "you know?" She nods, "Whoever has an issue with it, can go f**k themselves, but Grey Moon will be behind your choice." I look at the two of them as Tanya says, "What choice daddy? What are you talking about?" He looks at Kaila and said, "Maybe you should tell her... Both parts." Tanya rolls her eyes as I sit back on my desk watching. "Kai, girl what the hell are y'all going on about?" "Well, you do know that your dad is the oldest Alpha here, right?" "Yea so?" "You also know it's not common to bring someone other than a beta or gamma to these things right?" I automatically get where this is going but Tanya is still lost as she nods. "Tanya Aaliyah, your brother would have been here instead if he was the right person!" Kai yells excitedly as she begins bouncing on her toes.

Slowly Tanya's eyes widen in understanding. "Dad? Is this true? Me?" He smiles, "Ask me sweetie? Ask the question?" "You want me to be Alpha of Silver Lake?!?!?" He nods and pulls her into a hug. She blinks again and kisses me so that I'm distracted as I hear a hiss, followed by a soft moan. "James?" I hear Alpha Robert says and Kai laughs in the kiss. As she pulls away from me she says, "I knew it!"

I turn around to see Tanya wrapped up in a pair of wings. At the clearing of his voice, they jump away and I see a man, who looks similar to Kai but the hair is the biggest contrast, when as hers is Auburn red, his is blue with white streaks. "James!" Kai smiles and says, "That girl in your arms, you take care of her, or you'll answer to me." The look of adoration makes her words fall on empty ears. She tries to hide a yawn but I realize just how late it is. "We all should try to get some sleep, we have a busy day tomorrow." I suggest and alpha Robert nods and leaves with Tanya right behind him. She frowns as James says, "I need to talk to my sister, I'll be right there." Kai looks at him and says, "You've been trying to find her for seven years, what's so important..." "Sis, I just want you to know, you two can't mark each other yet." "We what???" I scream as he says that. "And why can I not mark my mate, brother?!" With everything going on with the summit and Mitchell, you two do not have the luxury of time for you to relearn control. After this is done, marking you and forcing you into full power will be your choice." Then as he leaves he says, "I never said you couldn't have your fun sis." Suddenly there's a crash upstairs as a door slams. "KAILA?!?!" I hear Tanya scream. She runs in the dining room wearing just a shirt. I see Kaila try to stand up and I hear her heart racing. "Tanya, did you just mark my brother?" Kaila says her teeth gritted. "Yea.... Is there something wrong with that?" I see Kaila start to glow and her breathing is labored. She shakes her head as she begins to walk towards Tanya. "Where's my brother?" Tanya's eyes are wild as she leads us upstairs to the second floor. She opens a door as we walk in to find James floating emitting a bright blue light. He's freaking out so the glow has sparks floating in it. I hear Kaila mutter something right as two angels pop in. "Dammit James!" One screams grabbing one of his hands. I recognize her as Abigail from the dream.

The other one grabs his other hand. "Can someone tell me what's going on with my mate?!" Tanya screams. I look at Kaila to see her glowing brighter, her breathing was raspy and she seemed to be fighting against whatever was happening. Abigail says, "Celeste I can't hold him and get to her!" Celeste was sweating as she replied, "s**t none of the highest I can think of are responding." "Mary?" Celeste groans and says, "I KNOW YOU HATE THIS BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!!" Suddenly a flash of light was followed by a short angel with green hair. "Yeah, I do. So what do you need me for? You two seem to be handling this transfer." "Celeste and I have him but he's transferring to his sister. She cannot handle this so if it kills her, we'll never live it down." I gasp getting worried for my mate. "Kaila, can you hear me?" I whisper to her and she nods bracing herself. "Move young wolf!" I jump back as the angel grabs Kaila's hands. After a moment, Kaila begin to relax. Finally the angel steps back and says, "He's in a state of completion. He's coming into his full power." I looked at her, "He said marking him was fine. He warned me not to mark her last night." Tanya said, "Marking him did this?!?!?" "Young lady, this is actually tamed. He was mostly in his power already. Most angels hit full power by their 25th birthday. Mates make it happen faster when they mark them. That's why he let you mark him." With that she went over and pressed her hand on his chest causing him to scream out before she disappeared.

"Ugh, I feel weird." Kaila said swaying into me. Just as I grab her, the other three angels fall on to the bed as the light dies. "Ugh, so that's what that feels like." James says slowly sitting up. Tanya sighed in relief before jumping on the bed slapping him. "You f*****g scared me!!! Why didn't you warn me?!?" At this point she's crying. "Sorry baby, I didn't know what would happen. I don't know how obtaining ones full power goes." He shrugs and holds her tight. Then he looks at us and his mouth drops open. "Get her some blood, now!" I look at him as the others sit up. "Young wolf, she needs blood." I look at Kaila just as her eyes rolled back and she passes out in my arms. "s**t!!!" I quickly mind link my pack doctor.

-its on its way, a young man came and made a request last night.-

I cut the mind link looking at him. "You knew?" "I requested for me more so. I didn't think I'd transfer to her or that it would overwhelmed her." A knock came and Tanya went to open the door. Finally she has enough that her eyes are returning to blue and the other angels come over. "I'm Abigail and that's Celeste. You will be seeing a lot of us." Abigail taps Kai's forehead, "Warn us before you decide to let him mark you. You are awaking a wolf and coming into full power. This was nothing compared to what you are going to go through. And we will hopefully not have to call Mary...she's a pain in the ass with this." Then they disappeared and we went downstairs to the kitchen so James and Tanya could eat. I tried to feed Kai but she was starting to fall asleep. I sighed as she leaned into me and I got a mind link

-we need to start the meetings Alpha.-

I cut the mind link as Tanya says, "James I have to attend the meetings and from the way Alpha Lucius has her wrapped around him, I'm guessing Kai's coming with us so..." I carry Kai to the conference room and as I position her on my lap she snores softly in my ear. I look around the room, "Anyone here have an issue with my Luna being here, let it be known now." No one says anything and Tanya slips in sitting beside her dad. As the meeting goes on, I hear Kai's stomach grumble and she groans softly. "You hungry?" She nods and whispers, "yea. But I can wait." I shake my head at her and mind link someone to bring her something simple to eat. As the Omega brings her a sandwich and chips, I feel elder Mathews eyes on us. "Is there a problem elder?" Elder John looked at him and shook his head. Kai sighs and says, "I'll leave so you can..." "No babe, you don't have to leave if you don't want to. I don't want you wandering in the pack house when you don't feel good and any one who has a problem with that can answer to me!" "Umm guys!" Alpha King says, "Not to be rude but we do have Lunas being hunted, the faster we get this done the faster we can deal with our threat." "Alpha King is correct so are we ready for the vote." Elder Mathew says. The vote is simply who wants to remain allies or neutral. "Before the vote, I have an announcement." Alpha Mathers says standing up. "All of you have been great allies to Silver Lake for years. I am happy to announce that by the end of this month, I'll be passing the title to someone else. So you'll be declaring yourself to the new alpha. Tanya my daughter will be the new alpha of silver lake!" There was silence for a moment before every one began cheering. I saw the relief in her face as she stands. "Thank you thank you. I'm proud to take over my dad's desk and hope you will accept my mate as well." In the midst of the well wishes, I heard Kai growl, so did everyone else as she shifts on my lap. Tanya looked at her with annoyance until her eyes widen. I look down and saw Kai's eyes darting back and forth before rolling back in her head. She tightens her hand on my thigh her nails digging. "Kai?" I call to her. "Give me a sec." She stutters. Everyone is staring now as she gasp and blinks looking at me. "Mitchell knows I'm your mate and he knows I foiled all his plans since I was ten...he's not happy. He also knows that Tanya has just been announced the next Alpha." "How, we just announced it and no one outside this room knows." I ask her. She shrugs, "I saw this as it was happening, I saw a clock. So this isn't something to happen, it is happening." With that we quickly vote ending with everyone choosing to remain allies.
