Chapter 10

Dušica's P.O.V.

I was driving around the city, hurrying to get on time for Mia. I was just around the corner of school when people started getting out.

When I came inside everyone was staring at me and I didn't feel okay. I hated when people do that. I took off my helmet and shook my head to pull hair down. I turned off the engine and looked at Mia and others giving them my best smile.

"You are late!" Mia said and crossed her arms.

I looked at hand watch and rolled my eyes.

"Two minutes Mia, just two minutes."

I stole one glance at Sam and saw her checking me out. She looked at my abs little longer same as Anna. I smirked and turned my head to Mia.

"Still" she answered like she was hurt.

"I got you cookies," I said and took box with cookies.

"No, you did not!" Mia said excitedly.

I couldn't help but smile "Yes I did"

She ran towards me like a little kid and kissed both of my cheeks "You are the best!"

"I know, but let's be good friends and give your friends some okay?"

"But those are my favorite!" she was such a child.

I rolled my eyes and took her by shoulders and turned around then pushed her towards Sam and others. I was bitting my lips trying so hard not to laugh.

We came to them and Mia was looking at the box like it's the most precious thing in the world.

"Hey, guys" I greeted them with a warm smile. They all greeted back and smiled.

"Come on Mia, don't be such a child please" I was now standing behind Mia, my arms around her waist and my head resting on her shoulder.

"Do you want some cookies guys? They are amazing!" she said.

I was trying so hard not to laugh. I saw Lena standing next to Sam and she was smiling at me. I came to her and hugged her tightly.

"We have a lot of things to talk about, Lena," I said while kissing her cheeks.

She just giggled and pulled me closer to her.

"Let's go," said Mia, "they have already eaten enough"

I laughed again "Sure, see you on Saturday girls" and then locked eyes with Sam. She smiled and nodded.

I don't know how someone can talk about her like she is the ice queen and other s**t like that. She doesn't seem like that to me.

We went to my motorcycle when I heard Mia asking "Wait, you really want me to drive on this?"

"Is that your motorbike?" asked Tom.

"Yeah" I nodded. "And Mia, come on, you know how I drive"

"Exactly, that's why I am scared to drive with you" she complained.

I sat down, deciding to ignore her while handing her helmet "Put this one, and please don't talk much while I drive or I'll shut down that option so I can't hear you okay?"

"Wait, you can hear each other?" asked Jon in awe.

"Yeah" I answered simply. I still don't like him, since yesterday's event.

Mia sat down behind me and put her helmet on. I made something like a messy bun and put helmet on as well.

I touched turning on place and the sound of motor mixed with Zara's song "Bad boy" filled my ears.

I turned the music off because I liked the sound of the motor more, then I saw Jon smirking and he walked near us.

He put arm on my shoulder and I turned around to face him. I looked at his hand and felt disgusting.

"Yeah?" I asked while opening glass on helmet so he can hear me as well as I can hear him.

"You know, if you are like this song says, a one good girl looking for a bad boy, you shouldn't be looking anymore. Because he is standing right in front of you" he said and run a hand through his hair.

"Thing is, I am not a good girl," I said while putting down glass on helmet and making a circle around him leaving black mark of wheels. I pull gas and sound was even more beautiful. Mia was holding me tightly and just when we were about to leave school gate I drove on the last wheel leaving them all in awe.

"Damn girl, that was badass!" Mia yelled.

"Don't yell, i***t I can hear you normally" then we both laughed

"Why this guy need to be so arrogant?" I asked her.

"Because he was never rejected, and every girl at school wants to be with him" she answered simply.

"Are they stupid or something? It's so obvious that guy is a player" I said while rolling my eyes.

"Don't roll your eyes!''

"I don't know what are you talking about," I said and laughed awkwardly.

"Girl, I know you better than you know yourself. And seriously sometimes I wonder how it is that possible that your eyes aren't on another side of your head already."

We were quite for a few moments when I burst out laughing, she laughed with me as well.

"You are an i***t!"

"Maybe" she answered simply.

"Back to Jon" I started "Guys wear makeup only if they are gay or players, and you know that. And god, that boy wear more make up than you and me together"

"Well, that's true. But that's just because you don't even put makeup on your face," she said and chuckled which made me groan.

"Don't be a smartass"

"Oh, imagine if he is gay in shadow. Too scared to admit it." We were laughing our asses off right now.

"Oh, and can you imagine Jon and Tom being together. Wow, they would be a really good couple." I said and laughed even more.

"Woah, girl I think we went too far!" Aww, Mia was jealous.

"Are you jealous or something?" I asked while trying not to laugh.

"Me? Jealous? No way!"

"Yeah, right!"

We were driving a little more when we came to the mall, finally.

"I need to find a good dress for tomorrow," I said and sighed.

"It's okay, I'll help you with everything. But first, you need to call Willy or someone to come here and take bags to your home"

"Oh, yeah I forgot that," I said and took my phone. I dialed house number and Natasha picked up.

"Hi Tasha, it's Dušica, would you please send Willy or someone to the mall to help us with bags and everything?"

"Of course, Miss. I'll send them immediately"

"Thank you," I said and hung up.

"Now, when that's settled we can go" Mia announced and took my hand

Truth is, I am not a big fan of shopping. I am so tired of going around the stores and trying things on but that's what I need now. All that I enjoy buying are underwear and casual clothes, like jeans, a simple shirt, trousers.

We were in seven stores till now and we didn't find any dress. But we have bought a lot of things.

"Come on, I need to buy some underwear," I said and pulled her at Victoria's Secret store.

I loved this store so much. We were watching at lingerie and I picked light blue, black, red and white.

"Let me try this on," I said and went to changing room. First I tried black and went out, Mia was sitting on the chair in front of the changing room and looking at me in awe.

"Wow" was all she said.

"How is it?'' I asked.

"Amazing" but that wasn't Mia who answered.

I looked at my right and saw a girl and boy who was standing with his mouth wide open.

I looked lower and saw his "friend" was up.

"You should learn how to control your hormones," I said in disgust, he looked down and his face turned pale. He didn't bother to say anything before he left.

Girl still was standing there and watching me "But he was right," she said. I could see she is pretty embarrassed because her cheeks turned red. I smiled at her and said simple thanks before going in, to change again.

I bought all of them and a few pairs of bras and panties. Also, I took some sports bra and yoga pants.

Then we went to the Calvin Klein store. I bought a lot of their bras and panties, shirts and other things. Mia was buying a lot as well.

After we finished there, it has already been 7 pm.

Mia said, "I am hungry, let's go eat and then we are going to buy you dress and jewelry."

"Mom is going to buy jewelry so I don't have to worry about that" I informed and she nodded.

We went to take some food and enjoyed it for half an hour. When we decided to get up, I didn't know where to go.

She dragged me to some store which name I didn't know.

We went inside and were looking through dresses when one girl who works here came to us.

"Do you need any help?" she asked.

"Yeah, actually," said Mia "We need some dress for her" she pointed at me.

Girl looked at me up and down and smiled, I smiled back.

At that moment I saw a beautiful white dress, I couldn't take my eyes off of it.

I took it off and went to the changing room "I find something I like" I yelled.

I made sure they didn't see what I took. I needed 2 minutes to dress. I could hear Mia talking to this girl about some nonsense and I rolled my eyes.

I went out of the changing room and saw them with their back facing me.

I cleared my throat and they both turned around to look at me. I rolled around to give them a better look at me.

"So, what do you think?" I asked nervously.

"Wow," they both said at the same time.

"I'll take that as yes," I said and went back. I changed in my clothes.

"I'm so gonna take this one," I said and went to pay.

"It looks so good on you, damn!" Said Mia and gave me one side hug.

We bid our goodbye's and left. I gave bags to Willy and said to him to take it home to my room.

"I am so tired," I said to Mia "I can't wait to see your parents again"

"Mhm, they can't wait to see you too," she said and I swear I caught her famous devilish smile.

"Why are you smiling like that?" I asked while we exited the mall

"Like what?" She played dumbfounded.

"Like that oh I know something you don't know way..."

"I have no idea what are you talking about." She said and sat on my motorbike. I was looking at her wondering what is she hiding from me.

"Come on, what are you waiting for?" She put her helmet on and I just shook my head and sat in front of her.

We drove in silence, but I did hear her chuckle a few times which is so weird but I decided to ignore it.

When we were waiting for green light not so far from her house, she took her phone and texted someone. Okay, this was weird.

When I parked in front of her house I saw there is no lights turned on.

"Don't tell me your parents fell asleep!" I said and rolled my eyes.

She just smiled and wrapped her right arm around my shoulders.

"Let's go and see"

We walked towards the front door and she was looking for her keys and she was so funny.

"Where the hell is the f*****g key!" She screamed.

I couldn't help myself anymore, I was laughing like crazy and couldn't stop myself.

She looked at me and I saw she was trying so hard not to laugh as well.

"Now you are laughing at me?!"

"Sorry babe, but it's funny," I said while still laughing "But you know you can laugh as well, I won't judge"

She couldn't keep it anymore so she just laughed too.

I pulled doorknob down and the door opened. We looked at each other and laughed even more.

"It was opened all this time you i***t!'' I walked in while trying to catch my breath. Everything was dark, I couldn't even see finger in front of my nose.

"I see that now," she said still laughing. She was standing next to me.

"Where is your power switch?" I asked.

"Right. Or maybe left..."

"Seriously Mia?" I looked at her and I could see her holding her arms up in the air in defense.

"I don't know, it's always on when I come home." She said and laughed, and then we get our famous laughing attack.

I went to my right to try and find that light switch I run onto Mia and I don't know how but we were lying on floor Mia on top of me.

We were laughing like crazy when the light turned on on its own.

"WELCOME!!!"The room was full of people who screamed. I guess they were from school.

"Jesus!" I was still pined on the floor by Mia's body on mine.

She looked at them and then at me. She started kissing my cheeks and hugging me "Welcome back baby!"

I smiled at her cuteness but I couldn't breathe.

"Mia, can't... Can't breathe" I said while trying to catch my breath but useless.

"Oh s**t, sorry!' She got up from me and gave me her hand to help me to get up as well.

When I got up everyone was staring at me, I smiled and waved awkwardly.

"Thank you all for coming, let's party now!" Mia yelled and everyone cheered. Music started and people started dancing immediately.

"Come on, I want you to meet volleyball team," she said and dragged me towards a group of girls who were standing against the wall talking.

"Hey girls, this is my friend Dušica," she said and motioned at me with her hand "This is volleyball team," she said to me "Our captain, you know her, Anna" she was smiling at me and she came closer and kissed my cheek. She wrapped her arm around my waist and I put my arm on her shoulder.

"I'm the co-captain," Mia said.

"Oh, It's so nice to finally meet you, Miss," I said and gave her my hand for her to shake. But instead of shaking it she smacked it.

"Ouch, that hurt," I said and brought my hand to my lips.

Girls were laughing at us but we didn't care.

She kept introducing me to other girls and they were cool.

Party was amazing, I was dancing with people I didn't even know. I got to make new friends. More than half of the boys were hitting on me but I wasn't interested. Something tells me that this night will be great.

Third person's P.O.V.

Night was going on and people were already drunk. Sam was too tired, her shopping for this party was exhausting. She was sitting in a leather chair and she was watching her dancing all night. Sam was in awe how Dušica swings her hips along with the music. A few times they would lock their eyes with each other but nothing more happened.

At that moment Sam would feel butterflies eruption in her stomach. She was wondering if this girl can do this to her by a simple look what would happen when she'll touch her. What would happen if her lips touch Sam's? At that exact moment, Sam brought her hand to her lips and smiled. Then she realized she looks like a complete i***t.

She needed to admit, Dušica had body of top model, her lips were so kissable and inviting. Her hair was shiny and her skin tanned and creamy.

Dušica caught herself staring at Sam a few times. She was just sitting on a leather chair all the time drinking something.

She has legs to die for, and her smile was the most beautiful thing ever. She didn't smile much tonight thought. She was everything Dušica could see all night. She had feeling when their eyes met like the whole room and all the people in it simply disappeared. Like they are the only people in the world.

When the song finished Dušica decide to go and talk with Sam.

"Hey," she said awkwardly when she came to Sam.

"I don't wanna dance" Sam replied not bothering to look up and see with who she is talking to.

This caught Dušica completely out of guard.

"Umm... Okay, then I'm just gonna sit here and keep you company."

Sam finally decided to look up and she froze when she saw Dušica standing a few inches away from her.

"Oh my, I didn't know that was you, sorry," she said and gave her an apologetic smile.

Dušica smiled back and sat down next to Sam.

"It's okay, really, by the way, you should smile more. It looks beautiful on you" she said and looked away.

Sam had that feeling again. She knew she is blushing. It felt so weird but so good at the same time.

At that moment Anna came to them. She was having fun all night, she was dancing and drinking, but she was looking at Dušica and how she was dancing.

Now she saw her with Sam and she looked happy. She came to them and sat on Dušica's lap.

"What the-" she couldn't finish because Anna put her finger on her lips.

Dušica was in shock and Sam felt jealousy rising in her.

"Why don't you drink?" asked Anna. She was wondering why Dušica didn't drink anything all night.

Mia was near and she heard everything, she froze when Anna mentioned drinks. She decided to go there and help her friend.

Now that Anna mentioned, Sam was wondering too she wanted to know.

"Because I don't drink" Dušica answered simply but inside she was shaking.

Elena saw and heard what happened as well. And she know too good not to pressure Dušica when it comes to this topic so she decided to go there.

"But why you don't drink? Something happened in the past when you were drunk huh?"

Dušica froze, she didn't want to talk about it. Just when she wanted to reply Anna gave her a cup with beer "Come on, don't be a p***y"

Sam had enough, she was ready to get up and took Anna off of Dušica on her own but something stopped her. It was Dušica's voice.

"Move!" She said that calmly but her voice was full of authority and anger. Everyone would get scared of this tone.

Sam was shocked, even she felt frightened.

Anna immediately jumped off of Dušica in fear. Mia just came in front of Dušica, and she held her face "Baby, please calm"

"I can't calm, I need to go to the toilet" she was trying to avoid this.

"I'm not letting you until you calm down" Mia insisted

"Mia, I need to pee dammit!" Mia finally let go of her find and she hurried to the toilet.

"Mia, we need to sober Anna up. Take her to your room, give her some pain killers and water and lock her there okay?" Sam asked.

Mia nodded and took Anna for her arms and lead her to her bedroom.

Sam decided to go and check on Dušica in the restroom. When she walked in she saw Dušica leaning on the sink.

"I'm sorry about Anna," Sam said while leaning on the door.

"It's okay, she was drunk anyway" Dušica looked up at Sam and what Sam saw made her heart broke.

The girl in front of her wasn't the same. Her eyes changed color, she was pale now, Sam could see hurt in her eyes. But there was something like fear which she didn't understand.

Sam wanted to know what happened to her that made her like this. Who could hurt this angel in front of her?

"Come on, let's go out," said Dušica and walked out of the toilet.

Sam was walking next to her when Jon came to them. He was planning to do this all night.

"Hey," he said to Dušica and looked her up and down.

"Hi" she answered awkwardly. Sam knew Jon is preparing to do something stupid, and she didn't like it.

"Let's dance," he said and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Um, no I don't think so." She was trying to push him away but surprisingly he was too strong.

Sam was ready to say something and make Jon leave but at that exact moment, he kissed Dušica.

Both girls were shocked. Dušica froze, she couldn't believe something like this is happening again. She pushed him away and slapped him. Hard.

"Stay away from me!" she hissed and left.

Everyone laughed at Jon and he decided to leave the party. He couldn't believe that she was first that ever rejected him. He never felt so embarrassed before.

Sam was looking for Dušica everywhere. And finally, she found her while she was sipping alcohol in her mouth and then spitting it away.

Sam couldn't help but smile "It was that bad huh?" she asked.

Dušica looked up and smiled "You have no idea"

"I'm glad I don't"

Dušica wanted to say something but at that moment one of her favorite song started playing.

"I love this song!" They both said at the same time. They looked at each other and laughed.

"Come on, let's dance then," said the black-haired girl.

"I don't danc-" Sam didn't get a chance to finish sentence because Dušica stopped her.

"Of course you do, you are a cheerleader!" She reached for Sam's hand and lead her to the dance floor.

When their hands touched they both felt sparks, Sam couldn't believe what's happening. Their hands were like made for each other.

When they came to the dance floor, Dušica turned around to face Sam and wrap her arms around her neck while Sam put her arms on Dušica's bare waist. She got chills when Sam touched her.

They both were singing along and Sam couldn't help but smile at the irony of this song.

Dušica looked Sam straight in the eyes when she was singing this part. Sam blushed, again. She was annoyed with all this blushing.

The black-haired girl leaned closer to blondie, Sam thought she is going to kiss her. But that didn't happen, instead of kissing her Dušica put her head on Sam's shoulder and enjoyed this feeling. Sam was a relief and disappointed at the same time. She could feel Dušica's hot breath on her neck.

Already, everyone has stopped whatever they were doing and watch them. It wasn't normal because Sam, first of all, doesn't go to parties often, and if she goes she NEVER dance!

"You know what?" asked

Dušica still not leaving Sam's shoulder.

"Hmm?" Sam was enjoying this feeling so much and she didn't want the song to end.

"You are so cute and beautiful when you're blushing!" Sam was shocked and Dušica just chuckled. She finds Sam too cute.

When the song finished they pulled away and Dušica kissed Sam's cheek, the just left her standing there shocked. Dušica was so happy right now.

And Sam was happier than ever.

Then Mia jumped at "stage" and took microphone.

"Hello guys, I'm really glad you all could come tonight. Like you all know, this party is made for my friend Dušica" she motioned with her hand at her and everyone turned around. Dušica was now leaning on grand piano and she just waved and smiled to everyone. "I know you don't know anything about her, except that she is a walking goddess, so I'll tell you something. This girl here is one of the best DJ I know and that's why she is going to play some songs for us" everyone cheered and Dušica stood there shocked.

"You are kidding me right?" She asked while crossing her arms.

"No, I don't. I brought all of this DJ s**t because of you, and I know you don't love to do it in clothes like that so your clothes are waiting for you in the second room."

"You're so stubborn," Dušica said.

Sam and Elena were standing next to each other and they were giggling while watching two best friends. They both were excited to listen to Dušica.

"Yes, I am" Mia answered and smiled proudly "But before happen this I am going to ask you for a dance. And come here to pick the song. "

Dušica sighed and walked towards her best friend. After some time they picked Despacito, Spanish version.

They walked towards the middle of the dance floor when Dušica asked: "Are you sure we can do this?"

"Hell yeah, I believe in my best friend," she said and winked.

They started dancing and everyone was in awe. First of all, people didn't know that Mia can dance so good. And second, it was so hot.

"Wow, I knew she dances good, but I didn't know it's this good oh my," said Elena while watching these two.

Sam just nodded, she couldn't take her eyes off of black-haired goddess in front of her.

At one moment Mia's hand went down on Dušica's butt and they both laughed when she shook her head and take Mia's hand then put it on her back instead.

They both enjoyed this dance and when the song finished they hugged each other and laughed.

Sam and Elena walked towards them "You could be very good cheerleaders as well."

Mia and Dušica looked at each other then back at Sam and Elena

"Nah," they said in unison.

"You should go and change now, everyone is waiting for you," Mia said and pushed her towards the door playfully.

Dušica turned around and mouthed 'help' to Sam and Elena but they just laughed.

After a few minutes, she walked out in a simple white T-shirt and grey sweatpants.

Still like that she was gorgeous, now Anna was downstairs completely sober. Everyone was in total awe by Dušica's natural beauty.

She started with 'Turn down for what" then 'Blame'. Everyone was dancing and enjoying it.

Sam was enjoying while watching the girl behind the pult, how she was dancing around with big headphones around her neck. She was relaxed and she seemed happy.

After these two songs, she started with real mixes Like 'Animals', 'Stanga', 'Lam GAnna Poo', 'Trip to Ireland' and 'Freak'.

People went crazy. When she finished, she walked off the stage and everyone cheered.

It was 3 a.m. when Mia decided to send them all home. Tom, Emili, Sam, Elena, Anna, Dušica stayed to help Mia cleaning everything up. They all, except Sam, Anna, and Dušica, were little tipsy but not drunk.

"Hey, I just want to apologize for what happened before," said Anna when she was alone with Dušica in the kitchen.

It's okay, you were drunk anyway" said Dušica and gave her a wide smile.

"I know, but-" Anna felt so guilty.

"It's okay, really," said Dušica and kissed her cheek.

When she walked into the living room, everything was clean.

She sat at the piano and Elena immediately sat next to her asking her to play their song. Everyone else was lying or sitting on the couch.

Without any words, the girl at the piano started playing it and singing. Elena put her head on her shoulder and closed her eyes enjoying the moment.

Sam was enjoying watching Dušica sing and play the piano. She felt so peaceful and calm.

At this moment Dušica looked at Sam and smiled. But she soon looked away.

Sam was enjoying every word, every accord, every look, and every smile she got from Dušica, that she didn't even realize she finished singing until everyone clapped their hands and Dušica blushed. She was so cute while blushing thought Sam. Elena kissed every place on Dušica's cheek which made Dušica giggle. Sam felt that feeling of jealousy again but she knew it is not right.

Dušica looked At her phone and saw it's already 4 a.m. she sighed and stood up.

"Sorry guys but I should go home now, I am really tired."

"Wait, I thought we all are going to sleep here," said Mia while getting up.

"I wish I can, but I promised to grandpa that I'll go with him to new house, and knowing him he will be up less then hour" Dušica answered "And I need a shower"

Sam was really sad because she is leaving.

"Okay then," said Mia while pouting.

"Aww don't be sad! I'll come to pick you tomorrow to show you where I'm going to live okay? I want you to be first that will see it!"

"Yes, that's great!" Said Mia.

"Oh, by the way, Dušica" started Anna.

"Yeah?"

"We are meeting tomorrow night at my house to watch this Gala you know. That's like our tradition to watch it together because Sam here" she motioned at Sam. Dušica looked at her but she had a blank expression. "Is there every year like heir of Mett empire. Would you like to come?"

Mia and Elena looked at each other than at Dušica and they both burst out laughing.

Everyone was confused and Dušica just chuckled.

"I really would love, but I have some kind of party to attend myself as well" when she told this, Mia and Elena started laughing even more, if that was possible.

"You two shut it," she said and walked towards Mia to give her a kiss "You are going to destroy surprise," she said when she pulled away and then kissed Elena "Keep your mouths shut girls" and with that said she left.

Everyone was confused except Mia and Elena who were still giggling.

"What was that all about?" Asked Anna like she was reading Sam's mind.

"Oh, you will find out soon enough," said Mia and smiled.

Sam was very curious now but she didn't say anything. She has that stupid gala to go tomorrow. This one was even more important than others because the most influential family in the world is going to present their heir. I don't even know how to pronounce their Last name, but I know they are way richer than my family. They were watching him like little water in their hands. No one knows how he looks like or anything about him.

Sam was glad she has friends like this who support her every year, but she was wondering who is the mysterious heir of family number one in the world.

But little did she know that she has already met him.
