Chapter 12: my second surprise.

Haylee

We made it, that’s was a long car ride but we made it. We met up with our dorm supervisor and she gave us our keys and pointed us in the right direction. Addie and I wanted to check out our dorms before unloading which was fine because our parents were here yet. We were walking thinking we found the building but before we could walk up to the door, I looked down at my map and thats when Addie shouted.

“IAN? What the h*** are you doing here? Addie said,

I looked up and saw him. I shook my head, this has to be a nightmare! I felt like I was gonna cry when I saw him.

He walked up to us, “I go here now, mom and dad didn’t tell you because it was supposed to be a surprise.” He said.

I could feel the water in my eyes, “no no no. This can’t be happening. Surprise for who, Ian?” I said.

“You. Remember before summer, I told you I had a second surprise for you, well this was it until well you know what happened!! It was too late to get out of it.”

I shook my head, “I hate you.” I said to him,

That’s when we heard, “Ian, she told me to give you her number..”

“Nick!”

“Haylee”

He smiled at me and gave me a hug.

“Wait you guys know each other?” Addie said to Ian.

“Yes this is my roommate.” Nick said.

“This can’t be happening right now.” I said.

“Wait I’m confused what’s going on.” Nick said.

“That kinda makes two of us..” ian said.

I looked away and really started to cry.

“Hi Nick, I am Addison, Haylee’s bestfriend, and Ian’s little sister.” I heard her say, knowing that Nick would figure it out.

“Wait a minute, Ian is your brother that means..” he said pointing at Ian and Myself.

“Someone tell me what going on.” Ian said.

“What’s going on is you ruined my life Ian! Just stay the. H*** away from me..” I said then storming off.

Ian

After she stormed off, Nick went after her.

“You gonna tell me what’s going on? How does Nick and Haylee know each other.” I asked Addie with one of my eye brows lifted.

“I’ll tell you that, when you tell me why you broke my bestfriends heart and stop talking to her all summer!!”

“Nevermind I’ll figure it out myself.” I said as I walked away.

Haylee:

I was sitting in the hallway crying. My first day here and I’m already hurt, and mad. Why is this happening? I am not even mad that he’s here, I am upset because I miss him, and I shouldn’t. He’s the one that decided to stop calling and text. Just why does this have to happen??

“Are you ok, Haylee?” Nice came up to me and said.

“No I am not. Seeing him makes me miss him more.” I said.

He sat on the ground with me, and wrapped his arms around me.

“It’s gonna be ok, it’s a big campus, you don’t have to hang out at my dorm, like you can easily void him..”

“The things is, I don’t know if I can, I love him..” I cried some more.

“Shhhh..” Nick said, rubbings the top of my head.

“Really Haylee, what’s with this crying bullshit?” I heard Ian say.

I stood up, looked him in the eyes, “why can’t you just leave me alone when I ask?.”

“Because I need to know info..”

“About what?

“How do you guys know each other??”

“Wouldn’t you like to know.”

“Haylee..” he said walking up to me so there’s little same between us.

I rolled my eyes, and started to cry more, “I met him in Paris..”

He looked like he grew angry after I told him that, it started to scary me a little. That’s when he started to walk away, “of course you did..”

I looked kind of confused, “Did he just get jealous??”

“Sounds like it” Nick said, as Addie walked up to us.

“They are here, let’s go unload. Are you ok?” She asked.

“Yes..let’s go.” I said as I walked away with her and Nick.

We got unloaded. Our parents decided they were gonna get hotel rooms so they didn’t have to make the same drive in one day.

I was in my dorm room unpacking, my roommate, Brooke was already here before me. She seems like a sweetheart and fun like me. That’s when there was a knock at the door. I went over to answer it, as I opened the door, that’s seen Nick.

“Hey what’s up?” I said with a smile on my face.

“I wanted to check on ya, and see if you wanted to go get a early dinner with me. There’s a party tonight so I figured I take you to go get some food in your tummy before tonight.” He said to me.

“Yeah let’s go.” I said as I grabbed my bag.

We walked out and headed to his car. He opened the door for me, and I got in then he went around, got in on the driver side.

“What are in the mood for?” He asked me, as we drove off.

“Honestly, pizza!” I said.

“Then pizza you shall get, gorgeous.” He replied to me.

We drove to nearest pizza place,

“They have the best pizza here, I’ve had it a few times. You won’t be disappointed.” He said to me.

“Perfect,” I said.

As we walked in, .we sat down and we ordered a Medium pizza. I took a slice, and that’s when I heard a beep on my phone.. I looked down and looked at my phone..

Ian: You Chose him over me..which killed me, killed the good in me.

I debated on replying or not, what does he mean I chose Nick over him. He’s the one that left, and just acted like I was no one. I decided to not reply and just ignore him. This is the first time he’s texted me since the beginning of June, and that’s what he says to me, that I chose Nick over him?

Just then Nick asked me if I was ok?

“No im just stressed.” I said,

“Over Ian?”

“That’s a little part why. Nervous for classes to start too.” I replied.

“It’s gonna be ok, don’t let him get to you. I will have your back, Haylee.”

“Thank you.”

“Can I tell you a secret?” Nick asked

“Yes,”

“I have had the biggest crush on you since Paris.”

“You have, huh?”

“Yes. I hope this isn’t too soon, and weird because what’s going on with Ian. But I wanna take you on a date!” He said smiling at me.

“What would we do on this date?” I said smiling,

“Well I would take you on to eat, maybe walk around, and talk. A movie, drinks, anything you would wanna do.”

“Well we just ate out, so why don’t we take a walk around.” I replied.

“You saying this was our first date,”

“I would like to think it that way.” I replied.

He got up paid the bill, then grabbed my hand we headed out the pizza place.

We walked to the closest park, we were just talking about anything and everything, he still had ahold of my hand. I felt safe with him, like I wasnt scared or anything like that with him. I always seem to go for the asshole that either cheats or just leave, I don’t think I have ever dated someone that was a nice good guys. I just always thought guys could changed, but then it always turned into disaster.

“This has been amazing, thank you for this.” I said to him.

“You’re welcome.” He said leaning on to kissing me.

He reached my lips and I kiss him back. He was a good kisser. I didn’t wanna stop. He smiled as he started separating.

“What?” I asked him.

“Well one you’re a good kisser and I wanna do that again. Two if someone would of told me last year that when i go to Paris and I would be meeting a girl that one day will be kissing in the park around the corner from college. I would of thought they were on drugs.”

“Same!!” I said laughing. “We can do this anytime you want..” I added.

“Anytime I want huh? Does that mean..?”

“Does this mean what?”

“Does that mean we’re together?”

“Do you want to be together?” I asked

“Yes if you do.”

“Then I guess call me your girlfriend.”

“Ok girlfriend.” He said reached in for a kiss.”

I smiled back and kissed him. We separated.

“Alright but let’s head back so we can get ready for your first college party, and have some fun tonight!!”

“Ok.” I said.

Brooke and I were just about ready. That’s when there was a knock, I walked over to answer and it was Addie.

“Omg I have to talk to you before we go!” I said to her.

“What is it? Why are you being crazy!?!”

“Nick and I are together.”

“No way, how, when?”

I got all excited and told her everything as I finished getting ready.

Us three girls walked to across the way where this party was. It was at the other dorms, we walked in when up the stairs to the second floor, we found where it was instantly grabbed drinks.

“I already have to pee, I gonna go to the bathroom I’ll be right back.” Addie said,

“I’ll go with you,” Brooke went with her.

I was left by myself, I started looking around for Nick.

“Hey!!” I heard someone say behind me.

I turned around and saw the one person I rather not talk to..

“What!!” I said back.

“You don’t need to talk like that too me, Haylee!”

“I can talk to you anyway I want to. You’re an a******, and I hate you.”

“I know very well that’s not true, Haylee.”

Before I could say anything, Nick walks up and put his arms me.

“Ian, just leave her alone!!” He said to him.

“Nick, why don’t you stay outta this?!? It doesn’t concern you to be honest..” He replied.

“Well it is my concern when you won’t leave my girlfriend alone.”

“Girlfriend? You’re dating him? For real?!?” He said looking at me.

“Yes she dating me, if you didn’t f*** up maybe you would had her instead.” He said to Ian as we both walk away.

“Maybe if she didn’t go after a guy while being across the water, I wouldn’t of stop talking to her, and we wouldn’t having this conversion.”

I walked back over to him. “What do you mean by that? How did you know I met Nick before you stopped talking? I had not even told Addie yet so how?” I asked started getting mad.

“I have my ways.” He said to me.

“What ways?? We’re you spying on me?” I said back.

“No, I wasn’t spying. I just found out and I’m not telling you how..but when I left you in my bedroom that day I got picked up, I just thought the agreement was back on after that night in the hotel room. Hell I was transferring schools you!!!!” He said starting to yelling at me at the end.

“Yeah I thought so too but who ended by ghosting someone? You!! Yes I met Nick before we stopped talking. But we were friends nothing more, when you stopped talking, he was the one around. You would of known about him if you didn’t stop talking to me.”

That’s when Nick grabbed my hand and he started walking away.

“You wanna dance?” He asked me.

“Is that even a question?” I grabbed hold of his other hand and pulled in to me, as we started to dance.

Ian.

As I watch them dance, I can’t help but wanna punch that guy. What are the damn odds that my roommate is the one that Ashlee chose over me. I need a someone to play with. I’m getting bored of this. That’s when I see a nice looking blonde standing there looking at me, smiling. I walk over to her.

“Hey baby.” I say to her.

“Hey there,” she said smiling at me.

“You dance?”

She nodded.

We went to dance, I looked over when I started dancing with her, and saw Haylee looking at me, looking annoyed. I gave her a smirk. After dancing with her for sometime, I started making out with her.

“You wanna go to my dorm and have a little fun..?” She asked me.

“Hell yeah.” I said to her.

We walk out from the party, and went back to her dorm, which was in the same building. We f***** and then got up afterwards. Was about to walk out, before I heard her say something.

“Wtf just f*** and leave?” She asked me.

“Well yeah, what else did you plan on?”

“Wow, you’re a pig.” She said to me.

“Really? Says the girl who just meant me like a a couple hours ago and jumped into bed with me..” I said as I walked out. Headed back to the party. I saw Haylee when I first walked in without him. I walked up to her,

“I can’t believe that’s how it’s gonna be!!” I said to her.

“Why are you acting like I am the one that did something wrong here?” She said.

“Cause you know what you did, but you won’t admit it..”

“ADMIT WHAT!” She said starting to scream at me.

“You know what how about when you finally admit it what you did, I’ll tell you how I knew about your little boyfriend in Paris.” I said as I walked away.

For the rest of the party I just got drank, talked with girls, made out with A lot of girls, and watched how Haylee looked at me all night.

I woke up and found myself in my bed, I didn’t even remember how I even got home last night. I looked over and saw a brunette in my bed. No idea who she is. I got up and put some shorts on and walked out of my bedroom. I didn’t see Nick anywhere, I decided to make me some coffee. As I was, there was a knock at the door. I answered it, and it was the one and only, Haylee.

“What do you want?” I said to her.

“Don’t worry I’m not here for you..” she said as she shoved her way through.

“Your boyfriend isn’t here.” I said shutting the door.

“I know he’s in his class. He asked me to pick something up for him, cause he won’t have time to come back here. Not that it’s any of your business.” She said to me.

I walked up to her, and got close to her, she about jump out of her pants.

“What are you doing, Ian?” She said to me.

Before she could back away I grabbed her waist and brought her closer then landed my lips on to hers. She started kissing back for a sec til her phone beeped.

“s**t, what are you doing??” She said to me as she pushed me away.

“Haylee, I know you miss that.” I said to her.

“It doesn’t matter, I’ve moved on, this will never happen again.”

“Haylee, stop!”

“What!! What else do you possible want, Ian!”

I didn’t even know what to say.

“Yeah figures..” she said as she walked out of my dorm room.
