Chapter 5: Haylees 18th birthday.

Haylee

It’s been four days since what happen at school it seemed to calm down. Brandon still messes with me, but it doesn’t even bother me. It’s was the rumors and the people starring and talking about me that bothered me. I woke up to my alarm, I didn’t wanna get up, it was my birthday the last thing I wanted to do what go to school. On the plus side, Ian and Avery are coming back home today. Plus Ian only has to go back for only two days, because Tuesday is his last exam day. So I am excited about that. I look at my phone to see a text from Ian, he has been texting me every morning and night, and a lot in between.

I opened the message.

Ian: Happy 18th birthday Beautiful. You’re finally an adult. I can’t wait to see you later. I have two exams today. My late classes was cancelled, so I’ll be there by time you get outta school. I’m pick you up birthday girl!!!! :)

Me: thank you! :) Yay can’t wait. See you later.

I got up and got ready for school. When I was done I went down stairs, to see my mom made me a birthday breakfast. And they sang happy birthday to me.

“Hope you have a good day, I am gonna be working late tonight so we could take you out for lunch tomorrow for your birthday?” My dad said.

“Yeah that fine. I love you,” I said.

“I love you too birthday girl. Gosh I am getting old , my oldest isn’t a kid anymore, she is 18! Love you guys.”

As my dad leaves, I ask my mom if I can stay at Addies tonight.

“Is Ian coming home?” She asked.

“Yes but that’s not the point. I am going to be sleeping in Addies room anyways, her parents are there plus I’m 18 now, and you already know I’m not a virgin anymore, you took me to get on the pill.” I said to her.

“Fine but you better be meeting up with us for Lunch tomorrow before your party. Do you still wanna go shopping for a new dress?” She said to me.

“Yes after lunch tomorrow.” I replied.

That’s when I heard Addies car honk.

“Thanks mom love you.”

I ran out the door. I got into Addies car, and we were on our way to school!!

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY BESTFRIEND!!!” She screams at me as I get into her car.

“Hey thanks.” I said laughing.

“Do you want Starbucks? My treat?” She asked me.

“Yes a million times yes.” I replied

She laughs at me.

“So is it cool If I crash your house tonight? Would you be mad if I slept in with Ian in his room. ” I said. “If you are or offended or whatever, I won’t.”

“No that’s cool. My dad is actually leaving town to go see my grandmother, so it’s just my mom this weekend, so I am having Avery stay too.” She replied.

“Good, I’m so excited tomorrow. My mom is taking me to go get a new dress tomorrow after they take me to lunch.”

“Nice. I am actually thinking about getting a new one too, adventuring out of my comfort zone.”

“Really? That awesome, you need to. You looked amazing at Josh’s party. It is because of Avery isn’t it” I asked.

“Yeah kinda.” SHe replied.

***beep**beep***

I looked to see who texted me.

Ian:I can’t wait either babes.

Me: I’m all yours tonight. I mean not actually but I’m crashing at your house this weekend. I convince my mom to let me stay tomorrow.

Ian: yes!!! See you later ;)

We got our Starbucks and then headed to school.

I walked into the school and went to my locker. Maddi came up to me,

“you ready for tomorrow, it’s all about you girl.” She said to me.

“Yes I am excited, still having it at your house right?”

“Yes, this party is good be amazing!!!” She replied. That’s when the bell rang it was time for Class. I have both Megan and Brandon in my first class, but I’m for sure not gonna let them bother me. Because it’s my birthday and I’m gonna have an good day plus I get to see Ian once I leave this place. I walked in to class, and they were making out like animals, it was pretty gross. That’s when Brandon, gets up and comes over to my desk,

“You enjoying the show? I know you miss me kissing you!!” He said to me.

“Not even a little bit.” I said smiling back.

He went to say something but the teacher walked in and told everyone to sit down.

After the bell rang, I walked out smiling at Megan and Brandon, nothing they can do can affect me today. The day was going smoothly, everyone was telling me Happy birthday. It was my last class and I got an hall pass, to go use the restroom. I was walking towards the bathroom when I heard arguing, and sure enough it was Megan breaking up with Brandon, why? Because by the sounds of it, she was caught kissing another football jock! I walked passed them as Megan walked away from him,

He looked at me mad, “oh karma hit you didn’t it.” I said before walking into the bathroom.

It was finally the end of the day, Addie and I were walking out of the school. That’s when to Addies surprise she saw Avery standing next fo Ian. She runs up to him, she wasn’t expecting him til later. They walk off to her car. I walk up to Ian, and he wraps his arms around me,

“Hey there, beautiful.” He said.

“Hey,” I said back smiling.

“Happy birthday again, babes.” He’s said to me. “Cmon on,”

“Where are we going?” I asked him.

“You’ll see won’t you.”

He opened the passenger side door for me, I got in. Then went around to the driver side, and we started driving off.

We drove to the beach, not just any beach, the beach where parties usually happen. The beach that we seen eachi at last Friday when we walked down the beach after finding out Brandon cheated on me. We got out,

“What are we doing here?” I asked.

“Cmon.” He said grabbing my hand.

We walked down to the beach to around the area that he first kissed me. We sat down, just like we’re were last Friday.

“I wanted to bring you here for two reasons..” he said smiling at me with his arms around me.

“And those reasons are what?” I asked.

“Reason one is I wanted to spend some alone time with you, because I know tomorrow I’ll have to share you with all your friends..”

“Reason two?” I asked..

“This will always be our special place, it was the spot, I got to kiss the girl, I have wanted to kiss for years.” He said.

I turned my body and kissed him. He started out making my birthday so special. We kissed for a little bit until we pulled apart, because we needed to catch our breath.

“I got you something..” he said to me,

“What is it?” I asked.

That’s when he pulled a jewelry box out of his pocket. As he handed it to me, he said,

“Happy Birthday.”

I opened the box and it was beautiful sliver heart necklace.

“You didn’t have to do this.” I said to him.

“Yes I did.” He replied.

He took it out of the box and helped me put it on.

“I love it, thank you.” I said.

I kissed him again. We just relaxed and just looked out to the water.

“This is just beautiful,” I said looking out to the water.

“Not as beautiful as you.” He replied.

“Shut up.” I laughed.

We stayed for another hour before getting up and walking about.

“Haylee?” He said to me as we stopped and he turns to me.

“I wanna try this relationship thing with you, I don’t know how do the whole relationship thing, but I am willing to try. But I think we should wait til after summer, you have annual family trip you guys take every year. I have a trip planned with my friends this summer. So when we get back to each other I think I can give it a try. I just don’t wanna start it out with distance.” He said me.

I smiled at him, and put my arms around his neck as I kissed him. He wrapped his arms around me, kissing back.

“I am guessIng that’s a yes?” He asked me.

“That’s a yes, after summer.” I said.

We kissed again before walking back to the jeep. We got in and he held my hand the whole drive.

“I wanna ask you something but I don’t want you to get mad at me, or change your mind.” I said to him.

Ian

“What’s is it hayles? I won’t get mad.” I said to her.

I was kinda scared what she was gonna ask me, what could she ask me that would make me mad at her.

“Are you sleeping with other girls while we are waiting?” She asked me.

I held her hand tighter, and looked at her for second while i gave her a smiled.

“I havent even thought about sleeping with another girl since last weekend.” I said to her.

“Really!? You didn’t sleep with anyone this week?” She asked me.

“Yes really. You have been the only girl on my mind this week, babes.” I said to her back.

She smiled at me, he headed to pick up Avery and Addison to go out to dinners. We got back to my house, and honked the horn for them to come out, they took about forever to come out. They finally came out, and hoped it.

“Happy birthday Hayles. I am sorry I didn’t say it earlier, I got detracted.” He said as he winked at Addie.

“Man, Cmon she’s my sister, let’s not do that!!” I said to him.

“So where you taking me, Ian?” She asked me.

“You’ll have to wait and see won’t you.” I said back to her.

“This is rude, I don’t wanna wait.” She replied.

“Well your gonna just have to, aren’t you.” I said as I winked at her.

We drove into town, I need to stop and get gas before we head to your surprise.” I said to Haylee.

We pulled up into a gas station, and pulled up to a pump. The guys got out and as Addie was getting out,

“Addie, stay I wanna talk to you.” I said to her.

“What’s up?” She asked me.

“You never gonna guess what happened before we came and picked you up..”

“What unless it’s something dirty then I don’t wanna hear about it cause that’s my brother.” She said to me.

I laughed, “no, it’s not dirty. So he took me to the beach where the party was last Friday. We walked down to the spot where he first kissed me, and told me it was our special spot, because of that. He then told me he had a gift for me and pulled out a jewelry box and it had this necklace in it.” I said as I showed her.

“Wait my brother bought you jewelry? I don’t think he’s ever bought anyone jewelry before!!” She said.

That made me smile, “well after we sat for awhile, we got up to start walking back. He stopped me and told me he wants to try being in a relationship with me, even tho he doesn’t know how to be in one, he’s willing to try. But wants to wait to make us official after my trip this summer because he doesn’t want to start out with distance, because of him traveling this summer too. Plus he said, he hasn’t hooking up this week with girls, and that I am the only girl that’s been on his mind since the weekend.” I said as I got excited telling her.

“He’s buying you jewelry, not hooking up and wanting a relationship..what have you done to my brother, Haylee.” She said smiling at me.

“But isn’t you two going to different colleges, in a different state going to be also distance?” She asked me.

“I didn’t really think of that. But I am sure we will figure it out.” I said to her, seeming not worried.

That’s when the guys were walking back. Avery climbed back into the seat behind me, while Ian started pumping gas. When he finished, he climbed back in.

“I am about to do something that your probably not gonna like but you trust me right?” He said to me.

“Yes I trust you, what are you gonna do?” I said worried a little.

That’s when Avery put a blinded fold on me. Made me jump a little bit.

“What the h*** is this?” I said.

“This way you can’t see your surprise and ruin it.” Ian said to me.

“I don’t like this at all.” I said back.

“It will be ok, and worth it, I promise.”

That’s when I started feeling the car move. I wasn’t a huge fan of this blind fold thing. We drove for a little while, that’s when I felt the car stop and heard them three get out of the car. Ian opened my door and helped me out, I heard waves from the water, and a little cool breeze.

“Awe, that’s so sweet.” I heard Addie say.

“Ok I’m the blind fold off now..1..2..3..” Ian said.

When he took it off I opened my eyes to see we were at the boat docks, and I saw their boat with lights all around it, we all walked to the boat, and I saw what do need a picnic basket, and some blankets on the boat.

“Omg this is incredible, no one has done something like this for me before.” I said with my eyes opened wide.

“Good, I am glad you liked my surprise.” He said to me as he kissed me.

We got on the boat and the driver drove it to the middle of the water.

We sat around ate, and talked. There was laughter, and just smiled, and of course a few kisses. Ian and I were wrapped up in one of the blankets, with his arm around me.

“This has been one of the best birthdays I have had.” I said to all them, “thanks to your guys. Especially you Ian.”

He smiled, and said you’re welcome, as he kissed me.

It was getting late so the driver took us back to shore. We got off the boat and headed back to Ian car. We headed back to their house, when we arrived, I grabbed my bags outta the back of Ian’s jeep. As we went inside, we saw their mom sitting on the couch watching a movie.

“Oh hey guys, happy birthday, Haylee. Did you have a good one?” She said me.

“Yes, I did.” I said, Smiling.

“It’s getting late mom, we’re all gonna head up stairs.” Ian said to her.

“Alright, good night guys.” She said to us.

We told her goodnight, Ian grabbed my bags from me then grabbed my hand and we all headed up stairs. Addie and Avery went to her room, while we went to Ian, and put my stuff down in the corner. I walked over and got my pjs and then went to the bathroom to change. When I walked back to his room, I stopped at the door way too as Ian on his bead with no shirt on and just in a pair f gym shorts. I stood there and just stared at him, I think I stood there and stared at him a little to long because I didn’t even notice he was looking at me calling my name out.

“HAYLEE!!” He said to me, he gave me a look.

“Sorry I zoned out.” I said to him.

“Yeah I can tell. Why don’t you stop staring and just come over, and do something other then starring at my body.” He said to me as he laughed.

I shut the door and walked over and crawled in bed with him and started cuddling. He started to kiss me, more passionate then usual, he moved his hand around my body. Then got up and scooted me over, and crawled on top of me, he separated my my thighs and got between them and went back to kissing me again. I decided to stop him even though I didn’t want to do it.

“Your mom is down stairs, I don’t wanna do it while she’s up and around. I am sorry I said.”

He groaned, said ok. He got up and turned the lights off, then got back into bed, he wrapped his arm around me,

“I am tired I’m just gonna go to sleep.” He said to me, sounding annoyed.

I didn’t want fo upset him and I did really wanna have s*x with him but I didn’t wanna do it with his mom right below us downstairs and I was like that with anyone I slept with. I had respect for guy’s parents especially Ian’s mom. I rolled my eyes and decided to go to sleep myself.
