324 Words
Packing for the teenage retreat, I was advices on getting plans on what I wanted to see in my life or something about that. "Anne it's time, the bus has arrived"my mom exclaims from down the stairs. "I'm coming mom" I sigh as I carry my bad and everything down stairs When I went to the camp centre I met some of the friends I had and we exchanged some greetings, (fake smiles, fake smiles) "ANNEEEEEE" Ashley my friend calls out "Hey ash-ash, how're you doing and what are you doing here" I exclaim "Well........." she stars off "I realized that is haven't really had a good relationship with God so I ant to build that and I have started making a mess if myself so I came here, what about you." "My mom registered and signed for me while I was unaware so I might as well actually just attend " "I hope to find closure" she reassures me "Thank you, bye" plastering the same fake smile I turned my back on her and continued to make my way to the reception As I had arrived I made sure I was respectful enough and started a little conversation which only had to do with why I'm here and what changes I expect to see when I leave the camp, I responded and the conversation ended there, funny thing is she was the only one finding joy in whatever conversation we had going. "Well, here is your tag, it contains your platoon and your room name" "What's a platoon ?" "A platoon is a group where campers are assigned to, so whatever platoon is being called for is given an assigned task to perform" "Ok, thank you Ma'am" Plastering another fake smile, I made my exit. After arranging my stuff and putting everything in order I got ready for my first sermon. Well this better be ready for me because I'm ready for them.
