Vampires are real!

For some time I was silent. I didn't know what I should say. After what happened to my parents I don't believe in that kind of love.

"Love is an illusion granny. Nicole is my mate. Moon goddess chooses her for me and I accept her" I said because it was the truth.

Granny touched my cheek looked at me with sympathetic eyes and said "Love is the most beautiful thing. When you love someone you'll understand."

I gritted my teeth and said "Love only hurts people. My mother loves my father and he doesn't love her that's why she was hurt."

After hearing that everyone was silent. The environment was cold. I was guilty of mentioning it. But after hearing the word 'love' I can't control myself.

My mother was the destined mate of my father and because of that, they married. And they have me. After some time my father fell in love with a human girl. No one accepted their relationship my grandfather forced him to leave his mistress. But he chose her over us. And he left the clan. My mother loved him very much and she couldn't tolerate his betrayal. After a long depression, she killed herself. My parents are selfish. They both didn't think about me. They only think about themselves. After my mother died my father came into the clan with his new family. They had a girl. I never forgave him or his new family for hurting my mother. But uncle and aunt support them. And because of them, my father lived here. We lived together in this house. But I never go to them. I didn't talk to him either. My grandfather and grandmother raised me. My grandfather was the alpha of the moon clan. I was the future alpha of the moon clan. My uncle and aunt didn't like it very much but they couldn't do anything in front of my grandfather. My aunt and uncle hated my mother and her family. I didn't know why they hated her.

Anyway, I looked at my granny's face and said: "Don't worry I'll be happy ".

"I hope so son," she said.

"Btw where is Grandpa" I changed the topic.

My granny frowned and said, "I don't know where that old man is".

I understand that my granny was angry with my grandpa.

I asked carefully "What does he do now?"

She gritted her teeth and said "Today is your engagement and that old guy is not here. I called him several times but he didn't answer. I was so angry with him. This time I'll not forgive him easily."

"I am sorry dear. I was busy at that time" my grandfather shouted from the door.

Genuine smiles appeared on our faces except for my granny. Anger appeared on her face.

"Sorry, dear. Please forgive me this time" Grandpa begged.

"Kai tell your grandfather I don't want to talk to him" she ordered.

"Grandpa Granny said that she doesn't want to talk to you " Kai repeated.

Grandpa frowned and said "I heard it"

Kai looked at Granny and said, "He heard it".

"Joseph" she called the butler and said, "Ready the Guestroom your master will sleep there tonight ".

Kai whispered, "Would I also repeat this to Joseph?"

Cole and I slightly slapped Kai's cheek.

"Why do you guys always hit me?" Kai complaint.

"Then use your brain sometimes," Cole said to him.

"That's enough " I stopped their bickering.

I felt pity for my grandpa. I tried to convince my granny and said "Granny, please forgive grandpa. Can you do that for me?"

She sighed "You know I can do anything for you ".

My grandpa smiled and hugged me and said "You are my favorite grandson ".

After hearing it Kai and Cole complained "That is not fair. Are we not your favorite grandsons? "

Grandpa looked at my brothers and said "Cole is also my favorite".

"What about me?" Kai asked.

"You always do what your grandmother says that's why you are my least favorite grandson" Grandpa jokingly said.

Kai ran toward Granny hugged her and complained "Granny they all are bullying me".

Granny looked at us and falsely rebuked "Don't bully my Kai".

"Yes dear" Grandpa agreed.

We were laughing when my father and uncle came to us. I ignored them.

My uncle said to my grandpa "Father we need to talk".

The smile disappeared from Grandpa's face and he said in a cold voice "Both of you go. I'm coming ".

The environment turned cold.

Granny asked Grandpa "What's wrong?"

He gave her a reassuring smile and said "Nothing my dear. I'll tell you later".

Cole, Kai, and I looked at each other.

I understand he didn't want to talk about it in front of us.

Then suddenly he said "Damon come with us".

My uncle said "But father " My grandpa stopped him and said, "He will be the future alpha. He needs to know ".

Grandpa did not give them time to interrupt and ordered "Let's go ".

We were in the study room. I can say, that my father and uncle were not very happy with my presence here.

My Grandpa said, "Damon do you know about our ancestor Marcus ".

"Yes, Grandpa. He was a great Alpha. He builds our moon clan. Every werewolf respects him. He is my idol ". I said proudly. Since childhood, I have admired him so much.

"Yes. He was one of the powerful alpha. He protects our clan. He fought for our freedom " Grandpa said absentmindedly.

"Father" Hearing my father's voice Grandpa came back to his senses and said, "Damon you should know something very important".

I looked at him confusingly.

Grandpa said, "Marcus fought with someone to protect our clan".

"Who did he fight with?" I asked curiously.

Grandpa sighed and said "Vampire "

I was shocked for some time and then said "Like storybook vampires".

"No, the real-life vampires. Not only vampires but he defeated the Vampire King and vampire Queen" Grandpa said proudly.

But I was so confused. Vampire. Was vampire real? I only saw about them in movies or read about them in storybooks. But never thought that Vampires were real and that my ancestor defeated the vampire king and vampire queen.

Before I reacted my uncle said, "Now they are attacking us. Not to mention Witches said that the queen's body wasn't found anywhere".

"I don't understand Grandpa. You said that Marcus killed the Vampire King and the vampire queen and now Uncle said we can't find the Queen's body " I said dumbfounded. Because the information was too much for me.

Grandpa looked at me and said, "Damon vampires can't be killed easily. And the Vampire King and Queen are immortal. No one can kill them".

I looked at him confusingly. Looking at my confused face Grandpa said "Marcus didn't kill them. With the help of the witches, Marcus killed them temporarily. But they can be awake. Now we are afraid that the Queen is awakened. That's why after so many years Vampires come back to attack us".

"But father we don't know if the queen is awake or not, " my father said.

"I know but we should be prepared for the worst. We hear how brutal and merciless both siblings were. I can't take risks" Grandpa said.

Grandpa looked at me and said, "You have to take care of the clan".

"Yes Grandpa" I assure him.

He looked at my father and uncle and ordered "Contact with witches and tell them to find her body and replace the vampire king's body from Where is it now. We can't take any risk now".

"Ok Father," they said and left the study room.

And I stood there dumbfounded.
