New Home

I sat stiffly in the luxurious carriage, my eyes fixed on the passing scenery outside the window. I couldn't bear to look at Mr. Rodriguez, who sat across from me, his eyes gleaming with amusement. I felt a surge of hatred towards him, my heart burning with resentment. How could he do this to me? How could he take me away from my family and my home, and expect me to submit to his will? As the carriage rode smoothly over the rough road, I turned to Mr. Rodriguez, my voice cold and detached. "What is it about me that attracted you to me?" I asked, my eyes narrowing. Mr. Rodriguez raised an eyebrow, his expression mocking. "You shouldn't flatter yourself, Pumpkin," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. "I'm not attracted to you. You're simply a means to an end." “Pumpkin? Tch.” I scoffed. ”Don’t call me that.” I felt a sting and disgust from his words, but I refused to show him how much he had hurt me. Instead, I asked, "How many wives do you have?" Mr. Rodriguez laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Just you," he said, his eyes glinting with amusement. My eyes flashed with anger. "We're not married," I spat. Mr. Rodriguez's smile grew wider, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Yet," he said, his voice low. As the carriage continued on its journey, no one had said a word after the last conversation. I felt uneasy, but Mr. Rodriguez, on the other hand, seemed entirely at ease. .He lounged back in his seat, his eyes fixed on me with an unnerving intensity. “Are you hungry?” He asked, breaking the silence. “No,” I said tiredly and closed my eyes, pretending to fall asleep. “Let me know if we need to stop to get you food.” He said, not waiting for my answer, and just continued on his business. As the carriage continued on its journey, I found myself growing more and more anxious. I didn't know where we were going, or what Mr. Rodriguez had planned for me. All I knew was that I was trapped, and I didn't know how to escape. As the hours passed, the landscape outside the carriage window changed. The rolling hills and green forests gave way to a bustling city, with towering buildings and crowded streets. My heart sank as I realized that we must be approaching our destination. I didn't know what lay ahead, but I knew it couldn't be good. As the carriage drew to a stop, Mr. Rodriguez stood up, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "We're here," he said, offering me a helping hand. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But then I took his hand, trying to pretend that I was cooperating willingly. As we stepped out of the carriage, I was struck by the grandeur of the mansion before us. It was even more beautiful and intimidating than I had imagined. "Welcome to your new home," Mr. Rodriguez said, his voice dripping with satisfaction. I felt a surge of fear as I realized that I was truly trapped. I was a prisoner in this grand mansion, with no escape in sight. It would be impossible for one to escape in this huge mansion. One could even get lost in here. Standing still I could only imagine how many rooms were there, how many people lived with him? And as if reading my thoughts he said. “Don’t worry, It’s Just us both. You won’t even notice the butlers and chefs as they will only be available when you need them.”
