Chapter 52Nadia was very upset when she'd heard about Brenda, she disliked the girl intensely but she didn't wish her dead. When the announcement was made by the Headmaster, Nadia broke down and had to be escorted to the school nurse's room and when her mother collected her from school, she cried all the way home in the car. She felt even worse when her father came home. He was very angry that the police had questioned him and kept pointing out to Nadia the differences between them and Scottish people. As if she didn't already know. Zaffer went on and on about Brenda's behaviour and the shortcomings of her parents when all Nadia wanted to do was put today's awful news out of her head.
