Chapter 37Angela arrived in the office at five to seven only to find Bill already there and sitting at her desk. He was chatting to Paul and the two men were laughing. Angela didn't know why that image disturbed her so much, but it did. Perhaps she was jealous of the way the two men slipped easily into conversation when they'd only just met. There was no doubt in her mind that men found it much easier to be accepted in the job.
“Would you jump into my grave as quick?” Angela asked as she approached her desk.
“Sorry, just keeping the seat warm for you,” Bill replied and he jumped up from the chair. He and Paul exchanged glances.
