Chase
As Chase was in his office after finishing his call with the Royal Beta, he received an urgent mind-link from his mother.
"Chase, we have a problem," Lydia told him furiously, "You have some she-wolves not only being blatantly disrespectful to your Luna, but racist as well!"
"On my way now," Chase linked back.
"Justin, I need you to get Lucien, and bring 3 guards with you," Chase told his Beta, who was sitting on a chair across the room.
"Is there a problem, Chase," Justin asked as he jumped up, going immediately into Beta mode.
"Just a few she-wolves that think disrespect and racism towards my Luna will be tolerated," Chase replied as he strode towards the door.
Justin linked Lucien and asked for the Luna guard to join him, before following Chase out the door.
Chase saw his mother and Kyrie standing in the hallway a few doors down from the entertainment room and Lydia had her arm around Kyrie's shoulders.
As he walked up, he heard his mother tell her, "I am so very sorry that you had to deal with that. Those girls are just jealous that he wouldn't accept any of them as a chosen mate, he only wanted you, his true fated mate."
He walked up to them and gently took Kyrie from his mother and pulled her into his arms. "I don't know exactly what those girls said to you, but my mother is right, I've let them all know that I wouldn't be dating any of them, and I would be waiting on my goddess-gifted fated mate," he told her.
"Alpha!" Erica said, running up to him, "This mutt here used her aura to put me on the floor."
"Yeah, we couldn't even raise our foreheads off the floor,'" Sylvia whined, touching Chase's arm.
Kyrie let out a fearsome growl and her eyes glowed purple. "Get your w***e hands off my mate," she roared, her voice mixing with her Lycan's.
Sylvia quickly released his arm with a squeak, clearly afraid of being put on the floor again.
"Don't ever touch me again," Chase growled at her, "My mate and my wolf find it repulsive."
Sylvia's mouth flopped open like a fish at her touch being called repulsive.
"Alpha, what are you going to do about her using her aura like that on us?" Erica asked, having at least enough sense to keep her hands to herself.
Chase looked at the indignant she-wolves, and then noticed that the other girls were looking down at the floor and had nothing to say at all. Having had enough, he slammed his aura into Erica and Sylvia, forcing them to their knees. "Justin, place cuffs on these two girls and bring them to the cells," he told his Beta.
"My pleasure, Alpha," Justin replied, placing silver cuffs on them.
"For what charges?" Sylvia shouted, struggling against the member of the Luna guard who had her by the arm.
"First of all, for disrespect to your Luna, secondly, for maligning a member of the Royal family," Chase replied evenly.
The girls tried to argue and fight against the members of the Luna guard as they dragged them away to head to the cells. "And now for you three," Chase sternly told them, "You will be working with the omegas for the next week. You will report to Mrs. Reid at 4:30am sharp. I will let her know to be expecting you."
"Yes, Alpha," the girls replied in unison, and bared their necks first to him, and then to Kyrie.
As they walked off, Kyrie turned into his arms and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I'm sorry that I lost my temper, but thank you for defending me," she told him.
"Hey," he said, looking into her eyes, "You were absolutely in the right. You can absolutely defend yourself and put wolves in their place if they disrespect you in any way."
"Now that has been addressed, we need to get you dressed and ready for the arrival of the royals," Lydia reminded them.
"Those she-wolves have the worst timing ever," Chase sighed as he placed a kiss on the top of Kyrie's head.
"They definitely do," Lydia agreed, "And Chase, go start getting yourself ready so Kyrie and I can get on with her preparations. And next week we need to have a meeting to plan her Luna ceremony."
"I will see you in about an hour," Chase said as he kissed her mark, making her shiver.
Kyrie
Standing in front of the steps of the front porch steps waiting for the arrival of the royals had her nerves torn up.
"What if they aren't really my birth parents?" Kyrie linked Kahlan.
"I know exactly who they are, they are our birth parents. We are a Royal Princess with special gifts," Kahlan told her.
"I wish I was as confident about this as you are," Kyrie replied nervously.
"What's the matter love? I can feel your anxiety through our bond," Chase asked, giving the hand he was holding a squeeze.
"I'm just nervous. What if I'm not their daughter, or I was adopted because they just didn't want me," Kyrie told him.
"I am quite certain based on their reactions that you are their daughter, and they are very happy to have found you. I am sure that we can all sit down in my office and get it all sorted out, princess," Chase answered, lifting her hand and placing a gentle kiss on her knuckles.
'At least, I look ready for a royal visit,' she thought to herself. She was wearing the gold silk blouse and black pencil skirt that Lydia had suggested, paired with a pair of three-inch black heels. Her short black curls were perfectly styled, and she had a little eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss on.
At that moment, 4 black SUVs with tinted windows pulled up from the house. As she watched, a very tall, dark-skinned man with long locs, got out of the backseat of the first vehicle. He walked around the other side and opened the door for a short caramel-skinned woman with light brown eyes.
Kyrie let out a small gasp as she realized that she looked exactly like the woman. The King and Queen were soon joined by a young man that looked exactly like the king, and 2 young women that somehow looked like both of them. Everyone bowed their heads and bared their necks to the Royals, but the woman ran up to Kyrie.
"Oh my sweet girl, I'm so glad we found you!" she exclaimed, grabbing her into a tight hug.
"Daughter, it really is you! I would recognize the scent of my pup anywhere, and you look exactly like your mother," the king told her in his deep voice.
"It's so nice to meet you," Kyrie told them softly.
"My name is Kyrian, but you can just call me dad, and your mother is Calista, but she would obviously prefer to be called mom," he told her warmly, "And this is your brother Kai, and your sisters Kalani and Kya."
"It's lovely to meet you all," she said, warming up to them, "This is my mate, Chase, his parents Charles and Lydia, and his Beta Justin, and my Gamma Lucien."
"Please come inside and make yourselves at home. We will show you to the two apartments on the Alpha floor that were prepared for you. We have 2 elevator key cards prepared for you as well. And if you are hungry, I can ask our head omega Mrs. Reid to bring you some refreshments," Lydia told them.
Kyrie made some mental notes to herself as they walked inside. She needed to remember how Lydia had handled the visitors so she would know what to do next time they had guests. Hopefully, her Luna training would cover this sort of thing.
"I hope these accommodations are suitable," Lydia told them as they arrived at the doors to their apartments and handed them their keys.
"The banquet we are having will be at 7pm," Chase told them, "If that time is ok with you."
"That will be perfect, young alpha," Kyrian told him, "I look forward to it."
