CHAPTER 11
Linda was full of despair. She didn't know where to turn to find a man who wasn't interested in s*x. She thought perhaps the moral climate was changing. Maybe everybody was going to bed and screwing.
When she picked up the morning paper and read about the teenage high school girls who were giving birth to about a quarter of a million illegitimate children, she bit her lower lip.
"Damn the little bastards," she snapped. "The state supports them all. But me. Just because I don't have a child they won't do a thing."
She knew perhaps that would be the answer. She could be respectable and have a decent life if she had a child. She could live off the state and be the happier.
