Watching Emma has been torture. Knowing what could have been is killing me. When she fell asleep on the couch at the apartment, I had a mild panic attack. What would have happened if I would have lost her and never knew about our baby? When she described what he did to her while he had her, I almost lost it.
I stepped out in the hospital hall and called her attorney. I told him everything except the baby. About fifteen minutes later, he called back with news that the judge handling Rob’s case would handle the divorce. He’d grant the divorce after Easter.
