The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky and the evening sun cast a long shadow of the moving car on the road. Rolling the window down of the car, Adhira looked outside. The cold breeze made Adhira's long hair dance in its rhythm.

Reyansh frowned when he felt a gust of crisp air blow on his face. He looked up at the source of the disturbance.

Resting her elbow on the window, Adhira leaned her head against her hand with her eyes closed. She felt calm and relaxed with the cool breeze blowing on her face.

To him, she looked like an angel with her long dark brown strands fluttering in front of his face.

Meanwhile, the driver received a call from the bodyguards who were following them behind. "Hello". The driver answered the phone. He glanced at the side-view mirror only to see that their cars were not behind them. His inscrutable face was covered with a frown.

"Jay, the road is being barricaded," the bodyguard informed him, which caused him to frown deeper. "But didn't you guys just behind us? Then how..."

Listening to the driver, Reyansh came out of his thoughts.

Cutting off the driver, "What happened?" Reyansh asked him.

" We are taking a U-turn from here and will go by another route." The bodyguard ended the call after informing the driver.

"Master, Henry called to inform us that they are being diverted and come by another route." The driver gulped, seeing his expression turning grave from the rear view mirror. His back was drenched in sweat, thinking himself to be on the receiving end of his master's rage.

"It seems like a trap" Reyansh muttered, looking around in the rear and side view mirror.

His eyes went to Adhira. "Close the..." He was going to tell Adhira to close the window but before he could complete what he was saying, they heard a gunshot followed by several sounds of bullets being fired.

"Aah!" Adhira shrieked with fright and shock. Reyansh looked behind to see two black cars following them and several men, with their hands extended to point their guns at their car, sticking their upper half out of the car window.

"Close the fu.cking window!" Reyansh's voice boomed through the car. He pulled out a gun which he always carried, tucked under his shirt at the back.

Looking at the gun in his hand, Adhira's face paled. Her wide open eyes couldn't move away from that dangerous thing held in his hand.

"I said, close....Fu.ck" Reyansh cursed loudly when their car skidded drastically.

Adhira came out of shock when she heard him cursing angrily. She looked at the open window and back at Reyansh. Extending her shivering hand, and pressing the button, she closed the window.

"s**t! Master, these bastards have punctured all the tires." The driver looked at the rear view. The car moved zig-zagged with the punctured tires on the road.

Several bullets hit the windows, but all the windows were bulletproof, much to their relief. Reyansh rolled the window down of his side.

Aiming his gun at them, Reyansh fired shots at them. A bullet hit the side view mirror and broke down, which was aimed at Reyansh. But he ducked his head inside swiftly.

Adhira was frightened and was almost trembling at such a horrific scene. Bullet after bullet being fired made her cry with panic.

Clutching her hand to her chest, she looked behind to see almost twelve men in two cars firing one after another shot at them. The gunshots deafened her and her senses.

oh God, Save us!

Reyansh fired one after another bullet. He had shot four men right at the glabella on their forehead. Adhira saw blood spurting out of their heads which horrified her even more.

A bullet pierced through his shoulder, his white shirt turned red with the blood.

Reyansh suddenly ducked his head inside. His other good hand pressed hard on his wound.

Closing his eyes in pain, he took a long breath. Opening his eyes, he looked down at his shoulder to see blood flowing down his hands.

"Motherfvcker !"He muttered a curse.

He turned his face toward Adhira and his eyes locked with her scared emerald orbs. "Get up".

She couldn't decipher what he was saying. She was far more panicked to interpret what he was saying.

"GET UP!" Reyansh yelled at her, bringing her back to her senses. Not understanding him, she still got up from her sitting position. Her upper body crooked due to less space in the car.

Reyansh pulled the seat up where she was sitting earlier and picked up two hands grenades from there.

Adhira looked at the grenade with a horrified expression. And she paled even more thinking she was sitting on that earlier.

What if...

"Fvck!" She came out of thought when she heard the driver groan in pain. Her breath hitched seeing his hands bleeding terribly.

"Motherfvckers!" Reyansh cursed and threw the hand grenade at their car.

Seconds later, the cars behind them blasted with a loud boom, leaving Adhira's ears and her senses numb.

The huge flames of the fire erupted from their cars. It seemed to reach till the sky. It felt like the sky was burning with an orange tinge in the sky and Engulfing the horrifying screams of the attackers with its huge flames.

Adhira was too shocked and horrified to react with the scene playing in front of her eyes.

Their screams echoed in her ear, and she pressed her both ears in an attempt to unhear their painful screams.

Reyansh sighed in a little relief seeing no enemy behind his back but his relief turned into a horror.

A horrifying scream left Adhira's and Reyansh's mouth.
