Chapter-25

Clenching his fingers into a tight fist, he turned away from Adhira. He closed his eyes but a sudden realization hit him hard.

He sat up hurriedly and switched on the bedside lamp, turning to face Adhira, his expression froze.

Her face looked pale and her lips had turned an ugly shade of blue. His heart, for a second, trembled very violently.

He placed his hand on her forehead and her temperature made him shiver.

She is so cold!

He took her wrist out from under the comforter and pressed his two fingers on her wrist. The color from his face drained.

Her pulse was barely there. If not observed from very close one could think of her as dead.

Reyansh tapped on her cheek but she was lying there unconscious and probably, standing on the brink of death.

He picked up his phone from the bedside and hurriedly redialed the doctor's number.

"The number you are calling is either switched off or not reachable at the moment" Hearing the robotic voice announce, Reyansh frown deepened. He didn't know what he should do next.

Frustratingly, he threw his phone in the farthest corner of the room and crashed directly into the wall and the unblamable little device broke down into fragments.

Inhaling deeply he touched her forehead with the back of his palm. Her body temperature was falling down rapidly.

He got up from the bed and the first thing he did was switch the heater on in the room. He pulled the blanket over her, covering her entire body to her neck.

He also started rubbing her hands and legs to provide her with some heat.

Almost one hour passed and he was drenched in sweat from the warmth of the room but there was no change in her condition. Her temperature was still the same or maybe worse. Rubbing her hands and legs continuously for the last one-hour did not provide her with enough heat.

Reyansh was panicked and frustrated. He felt helpless and many more such feelings which he had not felt for a very long time and those feelings were just tagged as pathetic in his mind.

Running his fingers through his dark hair, he frantically paced in front of the bed.

REYANSH POV:

I did not know what worse this night could be anymore. It would be totally a lie if I would be saying that I wasn't feeling scared right now. I felt scared and there was an unsettling feeling within me. No, I wasn't scared of someone dying on me or anything such. But I was scared for her, afraid that if anything happened to her.

There was no one in the mansion except me and her. I don't like people.

After rubbing her hands and legs for so long, still there was not any rise in her body temperature. She was still lying there cold and out.

There is no way I can take her to the hospital. It will take at least 2 hours to reach the hospital from here because my mansion is away from all the humans and the chaos created by them. I just loathe them with my everything.

And you don't loathe her? Why are you trying to save her?

A voice asked mockingly.

I do. I hate her. I hate her father, her whole family but I won't let her die ... not just yet.

Ignoring all the thoughts that tried to hold me from saving her this once, I came to only one solution.

That will be the last way to save her.

Reyansh rubbed his forehead agitatedly. After contemplating for a while, he stripped out of his clothes which have been soaked partially from his sweat.

He lifted the comforter and adjusted himself beside her. His heart pounded hard with anticipation in his chest. Neither this wasn't his first time lying naked beside a girl nor it was like he was seeing her in this state for the first time. He had seen it all.

After releasing a long breath, he grabbed her by the waist and made her turn toward him as he pulled her in his warm embrace and covered himself and Adhira with the comforter. Her body was so cold and freezing that it made Reyansh suck on his breath.

Her cold body had made her n*****s so erect and hard like pebbles but on his hard muscular chest, they felt so soft.

This was the first time when he hugged someone so tenderly and it felt pure bliss and peace. Though he had girls always surrounding him but he had only used them to his physical needs but with her it felt more than that.
