She waited for the impending blow. For any sort of pain or discomfort to come to her. But everything was eerily silent.

Not finding the anticipated pain, Adhira opened her eyes slowly only to be greeted by a pair of dark black eyes staring deep into her soul. She felt captivated by the deep abyss staring right at her and calling her to get drowned in the dark.

Reyansh tucked his left hand under her knee and supported her upper body with his right hand under her head. He effortlessly picked her up from the bed.

Adhira shrieked at his sudden action. "Wh..what are you doing?" She carefully asked him and looked at his face.

He had never treated her this tenderly before, so she thought he was going to do something to hurt her.

She clutched his shoulders unknowingly to prevent herself from falling if he decided to drop her on the floor.

Feeling her soft hands brushing against the skin of his neck, he felt an electric current pass through him.

A mere touch of her could burn him!

He looked down, his eyes meeting scared and confused eyes. Catching the intensity of his eyes, she closed her eyes and pushed herself more into his arms. She buried her head in the crook of his neck.

Finding it the safest place to hide herself from his intense gaze.

How ironic it seemed!

She sucked in a long breath against his neck, and Reyansh felt a strange feeling bubbling inside him.

Did she just sniffed me !

Reyansh decided to ignore it and made his way towards the bathroom.

Putting her down on her legs, "strip" he commanded with an indifferent tone. His face deprived of any emotion or any changes in his temperament which can give away the battle occuring inside him.

Adhira looked at his face, her tearful emerald eyes widely looking at him. She searched for any sort of joke in his command.

Does he really want me to strip?

That too in front of him?

And like she suddenly took note of her surrounding, she panicked.

Does he want to do that here?

Her teary eyes looked at him with horror.

She stepped back and Reyansh frowned seeing her behaving like that.

Reyansh POV:-

This woman standing in front of me, would make me go crazy one day.

She is such a weird!

I just asked nicely to her and here she is ready to leak salt from her eyes.

Coming to think of it, she had wasted amount of salt that can last upto atleast for 1 year.

All the time crying!

Did she ever smile or stay normal?

Am I that scary to her?

Heaven's!

I sighed big time. " Take a bath. You stink! " I frustratingly almost yelled at her.

She just irritates me with her tears.

No! Seeing tears in her eyes actually irritates you.

After a long time, I heard that coming from my subconscious.

I scoffed at him.

My eyes moved towards her, she stood there nervously, fidgeting with her fingers.

I will just leave her alone to take a bath. Having this thought in my mind, I gave her one last glance and turned my back.

" What if she faints again and hit her head hard?"

And for the second time of day, my subconscious questioned me.

But this time I somehow couldn't refute him.

I looked down at my clothes, my clothes were also dirty. I also need a bath.

" Forget it."

I once again turned, facing her.

Adhira was waiting for him to leave the bathroom.

She saw him turning his back and going outside.

But she again saw him stopping in his track.

She heard him muttering something but she couldn't concentrate on what he was saying.

Her only concentration was on his feet.

When he will go?

But her heart started beating fastly in her chest when she saw his feet turning yoward her again.

She just stood there not daring to breath too loudly.

Her eyes were still focused on his feet when she heard some shuffling.

She saw him coming toward her. She shivered thinking about his next move.

Her eyes noticed his hands coming to her. Adhira wanted to take a step back seeing him standing too close according to her comfort but she didn't. It would be a futile attempt anyway, which could perhaps lead her to receive severe consequences.

She wanted to scream when his large hands tugged at the hem of her clothes.

But she knew better than that. She knew it would be good to just obey him.
