Death has always been a mystery to the devil. She would not only ferry people to heaven but to hell as well. Every time someone had passed on, she would judge them and send them to where she believed to go. Death wasn't like the other horsemen she followed her own rules. If she felt she couldn't get her way with God, she would follow the devil. The devil knew this all too well, especially now she's being worshiped in Ugal. Something he never thought about. His plan to get all his generals back would be tough if Death is being worshipped. If he knew anything about being worshiped, it blinds you. Makes you a different person even corrupt the intention you had. These thoughts ran through his head for days as they rode to Ugal. "You ok there, Lucifer?" War asked as he shook off the thought. "You know I do not go by Lucifer anymore...." The devil told War looking remorse. "Yea.......sorry." War said, slowing down to Conquest's speed. They began to mumble between themselves the devil only shook it but was troubled by their whispering. "It's The Devil." He finally said, shutting them up. "Once we get to Death, we need to make sure we are all on the same page." He told them who just nodded, acknowledging that he was right. "Now let's get to Ugal." He said, speeding up. Following closely behind War and Conquest sped up to catch up to The Devil, who was in a trance once again as he thought about the last time he was in Ugal. The last words Death said to him before she left after he was shot. "Don't you worry almighty Lucifer, I'll be sure to watch over your followers for you." The words echoed in his head. The sythe she favored swinging over her shoulder to her back. The way her hair fell over her cloak. Every smell, everything that he was put through in Ugal. He wished to never return........at least not yet. Now fate had other plans for him. He had to face his personal demons with the place and make amends with his friends. Rejoin the four horsemen and make his army. That's what it boiled down to right now, the army! He couldn't do it without her by his side. Yes, she was untrustworthy, but he needed her. He needed her to create the perfect undead army. No matter how many times they would fall in battle, she could revive them. Sue was a vocal point to the whole army. He needed to recruit here no matter what. Soon, they reached the edge of Ugal. The town wasn't glorious as he remembered it. Actually, it was falling apart with smoke rising to the sky as if it was reaching up to touch God himself. In the distance, they could hear chanting as if they were worshipping something or someone. It began to scare the horses. "Come on." The devil said dismounting from his horse, drawing his weapon. "Wait, we don't know what we're walking into." War said as Conquest began to pull at her hair. "War's right...... there....... Devil." She said nervously, almost pulling her hair off her head. The devil waved them on, ignoring the responses and into the town he went. His two companions followed reluctantly. Conquest kept her polearm close to her chest as they walked. The Devil could tell she was nervous, but he had a mission to bring his generals back together, and nothing was going to stop him. The chanting grew louder and louder as they progressed slowly through Ugal. The Devil kept his eyes darting from building to building as they went. "OH PRAISE OUR LORDESS DEATH! FORGIVE US FOR FAILING YOU!" A voice bellowed echoing off the dead buildings, sending shivers down their spines. The chanting grew more aggressive as the smoke grew larger and darker. Soon, The Devil was on the outskirts of a circle of hooded figures bowing to a statue of a gorgeous woman. "Oh my lordess, please answer us!" One figure shouted, raising their arms high to the sky as if beckoning for someone in the sky to appear. Suddenly he heard a voice "Oh sweet children." The voice sounded sweet to The Devil's ears. It almost entranced him. "Just because they got away doesn't mean I won't find them." Steps echoed as the circle got quiet. The Devil's blood ran cold, knowing what those steps meant. "She's going to kill them all." He whispered to War, who crawled next to him. "Conquest is holding the rear once things hit the pot we can pull out till she's done with her theatrics." War said. As if one cue a gun pointed to The Devil's head "Well well well." A voice said, startling him. Before he could turn around to see who it was a blow bludgeoned him across the skull, knocking him out. In his last minutes on consciousness, he could hear a scuffle with War. "Conquest run!" He could hear War shouting.
