Silence befell the group as they looked at Mega. "How or who could do this?" Charles said, looking at the city burning to the ground. Screaming pierced their ears. Shaking Nash into focus. "Let's move now!" He said bolting towards the burning city. Flames engulfed everything around him as he moved. Inside the city, flames lashed out every way, snapping like a coyote, wanting its food. The sting of the flames singed his flesh, burning every part of his body. Nash gnashed his teeth together, ignoring the burning feeling he was experiencing. "SOMEONE HELP US!" He could hear coming from the buildings. He was getting closer. Mega was destroyed, but he would save as many people as he could. Finding a door shut, he could hear weeping from the other side. "Charles! John!" He shouted, seeing they followed him into this firey pit of hell. Quickly, they looked for where Nash had begun to smash against a door, trying his hardest to break it down. They rushed to his side, hearing the screams from behind the door. "HELP US SOMEONE!" Voices shouted from behind the door. "THEY'RE KILLING US!" People continued screaming blood curdling, begging for help. With all their might, they smashed the door open to find a horrific scene. Bodies of the men were scattered across the floor. Decapitated as demons began eating their insides, the children still alive coward behind Nash and Charles. "You son of a bitches!" John screamed sending bullets down towards the demons. As if immune, the bullets flew past the demons. "What the hell? " John asked as a demon leaped onto him fangs sinking into his flesh. "JOHN!" Nash shouted, fending himself from his own demo. It lashed out its tongue, sinking its teeth into his flesh. Nash gritted his teeth, trying to pull the demon off. Then Charles appeared his flesh red from burns of the flames. Quickly, he punched the demon square in the jaw, shattering its teeth on impact. "Nash punch the!" Charles said, cracking his knuckles before he connected with another demon vanishing into the flames. Nash nodded, rushing to John's side. The demon had begun to drain the life out of John, who was no longer struggling to fight it off. "John!" Nash bellowed as he couldn't reach him before the building began to start crashing around them. He was too late to save John. Nash's heart began to become heavy, and tears began to roll down his face. "Hey, no time to cry. Move!" He heard a voice within him shout. Struggling to his feet, he scanned what he could of the room. His eyes laid on a few civilians, scared to move. "PLEASE HELP US!" A woman shouted, noticing John looking at them. "I'm on my way." Nash said, rushing to their side. "This way!" Nash said, shooting his way through a wall to the outside. They all rushed screaming as they ran, covering their heads in case of debris. Each huging Nash smiling as they left the burning building and away from the city. "I seen your partner flee the building with a demon in his hand." The last survivor said as they escaped the city. Nash was relieved to hear Charles made it out, but why did he have a demon? "No time to overthink." Nash said, shaking off the intrusive thoughts he had. All he could do was find Charles and get him to explain. So he went back into the burning city to pick up Charles trail.
