Friendly Planning THE FLOOR of Eve’s office steadily emptied outside her open door, but she was too entrenched in work to notice. The cresting sun was cascading a serene array of light and shadow lines in her office as it dipped between buildings behind her back. Eve was deeply ingrained in constructing the merger of a minor finance unit into the legal department of a client’s firm. This conjoining would offer much needed advice and personnel relief without having to deal with section transfers or inner-firm departmental red tape.
