Urgent EVE SLAMMED a fresh glass down on her counter. Brushing away tears, she speedily grabbed the closest wine bottle and emptied as much as the glass would hold. She went into her living room, curled into a corner of her couch, and swigged from the glass heavily. The last streams of light invaded the closed room, and Eve wanted it that way. She certainly did not want to see any more daylight of that wretched day. Her tears persisted against the hope that they would subside.
