" I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." She quickly said after she realized that she overreacted. Daven silently returned to the driver's seat amused by what just happened. He wasn't angry but just shocked. "I was just playing with you. I would never do that." Brittney bows down her head apologetically and muttered innocently. " I'm sorry, I didn't mean to I was just scared and didn't know what to do." Daven starts the car and began driving. Looking at her through the rearview mirror he asked lazily, " Where are we going? " At the backseat Brittney forced a smiled and responds, " You'll see when we get there." Daven could easily see the sad look on her face and asked, "Are you still thinking about what just happened? " She swiftly shook her head and faked a smile. Daven didn't to ask anymore and dived on to his own thoughts. The car's atmosphere was kinda awkward and dull. He tries to come up with a topic and ended up saying, "Can I guess where we are going? " Brittney casually looked at him waiting for his guess. "I am guessing we are going to your parents' house to introduce your bestie here." he pointed at himself. " ...to all your crazy siblings and cousins? " Brittney didn't respond immediately and chuckled sadly, "Hehe, we would have been very close, sharing lots of memories together, fight with each other and make up again. I wish I had those memories, but..." Her voice faded and became horsey. Curious about what she said, he asked. " I'm curious to know more about you. Can you tell me about your past?" Brittney wipes off her tears and looks out of the window. "I don't like talking about it, please turn right at the roundabout. " She never really shared to anyone about her past, and Daven never asked about her when they were getting to know each other. 10 minutes later, they arrived at a restaurant. Brittney asked Daven to stay in the car while she goes in. She didn't take long and soon came out carrying a big brown envelop which caught Daven's eye. He did say anything and kept his questions to himself. ... A man wearing a neat black suit sitting in a chair asked. " Did you find him? " The man was none other than Lloyd. " Sorry young master, nothing about him." Lloyd suppressed his anger and gave him a cold look. " I have a meeting at 3pm. Now I'm asking you to watch her every move from now on. Report to me if you see something. " He gets up and left. " Let's drink some coffee. " Daven suggested as the air between them was just not it. Ever since she came out of that restaurant, she didn't say a word which made him feel uncomfortable. When they were seated, Daven finally asked, "What's inside the envelop?" Brittney immediately looked at him not quiet expecting the question Obviously he has a right to ask but now is not the right time. "Just something unimportant." Daven could sense it that she was hiding something but didn't continue to ask if wasn't willing to tell him. " Don't do anything stupid later on. Those people might be dangerous." She huffs and looks at him lazily. "I am a police officer and I have a lot more experience than you, of course I won't do anything stupid." " Okay Lady Brit, whatever you say. " He takes a sip of his coffee. A small smile played on her lips." Whatever. " When it was almost 2pm they went to the abandoned church "Let's leave the car here." They left in at a cafeteria and began walking. After walking for 4 minutes. they reached the abandoned church. "I hope we'll get all the answers we need." she said staring at building. They entered and began looking around. Brittney was a little scared when she entered but managed to not show it. 30 minutes later, they got tired and decided to sit down. "I'm so tired right now, I could use some sleep." she said yawning and stretching out her arms. As Daven was about to open his mouth, a noise of a van stopping was heard outside. Both of them immediately got alerted. " It must be them Let's hide." Daven quickly said pulling Brittney's arm. They hid behind a big sculptures of a bible.A moment later, footsteps echoed loudly inside. Instantly Brittney's heart tightened. " We have to hurry up, there are some more we still need to get." Man 1 said. " Will master Luth come?" Asked man 2. Checking the time, he responds, " No, but his son will. He will be here at 3pm. Right now it's 5 minutes past 3." " Then let's get started. Let's put them over there" man 2 said. Daven and Brittney looked at each other. " Who's Master Luth? " He asked in a low voice. "I don't know. We'll find out soon." Brittney said with a serious face. Three more men came in carrying boxes. They got really curious to what was inside the box. While the men were carry boxes inside, one of the two men got a call. " Yes young master?" man 1 said with a steady voice. "Yes" " Alright young master." No one else except the man who was on a call heard what the man on the other side of a call said. Both Daven and Brittney looked at each other perplexed. Man 1 turns to man 2 and said, " The young master said he is not going to make it. So he will bring some of his men here to take care of this." " They will be here tomorrow, exactly at midnight" " We have to make sure no police disturbs us. " Man 1 said with a slight worried expression on his face. Man 2 smirked and turned around. " Don't worry about that, they already know that we'll be distributing at night but just at a different place." He turns to face man 1. " We've organized a fake crime. So while they are busy wasting their time there, we be here working in peace." Brittney gasped in shock. " The tip off was was a distraction." she said looking at Daven who had no expression on his face. The two men shared some important details which was very useful to Brittney. After an hour, the men left to get more boxes. As soon as the men left Brittney was starting to freak out. "I need to get this information to the commander" " You go, I'll stay and see if I can find more information. " Daven only came here for his own reason and didn't want Brittney around here either as it seemed dangerous. All that was in Brittney's mind was to get the information to the commander right away. With Daven staying here, that she didn't care, she could only think of getting to the police station. " Alright, bye! " She said running towards the exit. ' That's it? Isn't she going to question me why I'm staying?' Daven rolled his eyes and ran after her. ' is she stupid or what? ' " Don't go out! There might be some men left to guard the church. " Brittney stopped and looked around trying to find another way out. "Got it!" She runs to the back. Daven didn't even want to chase her and sat down instead." Argh this woman."
