Lloyd slowly looked up at Brittney who had a deep frown on her heart-shaped face with elegant proportions. Her features were finely chiseled, like a work of art. " What a beautiful woman." Lloyd thought to himself as a visible smile appeared on his decent face. Her nose was a gentle slope, softening her striking features, with her full and inviting pink lips. Her rosebud mouth was delicate and enticing making everything look perfect. Her long, dark lashes framing her amber eyes. What a goddess she was.
Seeing the smile on Lloyd who was staring at Brittney, Timothy guessed that he was starting to daydream about Brittney.
Brittney got tired and puts down the file she was reading as she suddenly remembers something." What happened to the case of the two missing sisters? "
Timothy was about to speak when Lloyd interrupts him.
" Whoa, I completely forgot about that."
' Great, I say something, no one responds, but if Brittney says something, he's the first to speak. ' Timothy complains silently glaring at Lloyd and made a face. ' She doesn't love you anyway! ' He huffs and goes back to his work.
" It's been 3 years since they went missing and no information about their whereabouts. I don't think they're still..."
Timothy cuts him off " You don't know that."
Lloyd only glared at him and decided to ignore him. " What I was going to say before I was rudely interrupted..." He glares at him one more time before continuing. " Was that, I don't think they're still in this city, let alone in the country. If they are, then they were probably taken somewhere where no one would even think of. "
Brittney thinks for a moment and said. "What about the old town? Did they already search that place?"
"Old town!" Timothy snapped with a straight face. Of course, I bet no one ever thought about going there. That place is so isolated. And also Ghost town."
" Finally, you said something serious for once in your life. Who was incharge of that case anyway?" Lloyd asked in a serious tone.
*Ring*
All eyes were on Brittney's phone curious about who was calling. She rarely gets calls. She looked at the caller ID and answered it right away. She didn't need to go away as it was only Granny Tae.
"Hello?" Granny Tae's sweet voice came from the other side.
"Yes Granny Tae, how's everything going. "Brittney was slight surprised when she got the call from her, she doesn't usually call her at work unless something happened.
" Everything is fine dear." Her voice was joyous than her usual one, which aroused curiousity to Brittney.
"I want to ask you for Dave's number, there's something I want to ask him."
Everyone in the office could hear clearly what was said on the phone.' Dave? That's a male's name why does Brittney have his number? ' Lloyd's mind was full of question.
"Okay, I will send it now. Although Brittney was curious, she didn't ask as she was at work and didn't want to talk much. As soon as Brittney puts her phone down. Lloyd asked.
"Who's Dave?"
" Huh? "
That question came unexpected to Brittney and didn't know what to say. Timothy could already feel Lloyd's jealousy and laughed out loud.
" Hahaha! "
" What's funny i***t! " Lloyd snapped at Timothy.
Brittney found the opportunity to escape the question. " Uhh... I'm hungry, who wants lunch? My treat today."
Timothy stopped laughing and put up his hand. "Me!"
" Timothy!" Lloyd had enough of Timothy and now wants to teach him a lesson Hearing his name being called like that. he knew what Lloyd was about to do and quickly got up to run shouting, " Whoa dude! Chill out!"

When Daven got back to the restaurant, he gets a call from a number he didn't recognise which he didn't answer and watched it ring instead.
On his way to the kitchen, he bumps into Amir who sneered at him. " You only had 3 orders but it took you hours to deliver them? What a snail are you."
Daven only walked past him and left behind a sentence that made Amir stomp his foot in rage.
" No wonder you were ignored."
" You you little boy! Come here!"
At lunch, Daven calls Brittney who was having lunch with others. Seeing the caller, Brittney's heart tightened wondering if something bad had happened.
"Hello?"
" Can I have Granny Tae's number?" Daven's steady deep voice was heard as soon as she answered. Brittney relaxed when she hears that he just wants Granny Tae's number. ' What's up with everyone calling me to ask for numbers?'
" I thought she called you, because earlier on she asked for your number."
" Oh..."
there was a moment of silent before he spoke again. "Okay thanks." He hangs up immediately and calls for the number he ignored earlier. With only two rings, his call was picked.
* Hello? Granny Tae?"
" Oh finally I got hold of you." A sweet joyful voice came out the other side as she recognised whom the voice belonged to.
" Is she fine? Has she already ate lunch? " His concerned tone made Granny Tae get wild thoughts 'Is the child his?
" Yes, but she doesn't say anything when I try to talk to her..". That's what Granny Tae wanted to know.
Daven thought for a second before responding. " Try sign language" Daven wasn't sure either about that Sign language?
Granny Tae was a little shocked. Although she once had a friend who lost her hearing and used sign language for communication, she wasn't that good at it.
"Okay, hang on I'll try now."
Granny Tae went to the little girl who was quietly watching a cartoon on the TV. Since it has been a while since she used sign language, she paused for a minute to remember then gently taps her on her shoulder and greeted in sign language. Surprisingly, the girl shyly replied.
This made Granny Tae beam with joy and said to her in sign language " Wow, you look so adorable! Can I steal you to be my daughter?"
The little girl blushed shyly not knowing what to say and said. " Uhmm I don't know."
" What's your name?"
" Amara."
" Wow! What a beautiful name!" Granny Tae forgets about Daven and continued to chat with the little girl.
Hearing nothing from the other side. Daven frowned and called out.
" Unh Granny Tae, are you still there?"
Only then did Granny Tae remembers that she was still on a call with Daven.
Sorry, I forgot that you were still there."
"It's fine. Did it work?" Daven was anxious on the other side.
" Yes! I wonder where did you get such beautiful little girl like her."
Daven smiles sheepishly and made an excuse to hang up. Now he needs to find a way to help the other one. What a day.
