Chapter 4

MORGANA

“Again?” Nina asked Alpha Logan. “What's it with her trying to run away?” I was dragged into the Throne room and embarrassed in front of the servants and guards who were ordered by Alpha Logan.

He had found out that I was running away from him because I didn't want to get pregnant for him but how? Did he wait at the door? Did he know all along that I would try to run?

“Fool!” He threw me to the floor after he had roughly dragged me back into the house. “What did I ever do to you that would make you want to run from your Alpha the second time?

“Why would you run, Morgana? You obviously have nowhere to run to. Why run from your mate?” Nina mocked me, it was clear in her voice.

“My fated Alpha that you continuously let f**k you?” I screamed back at Nina. It's been a while since I had seen her ugly jealous face and I was glad about that.

Was she actually asking me that? How could he ask me that stupid question? Yes of course, I had to run away, they had practically made my life a living hell!

“You wanted to run off to do what? To find your mate? Who would accept a used vessel like you? Who?” Logan screamed at me, taking off his belt again.

Oh no. Not again.

“Please.. please.” I pleaded. I could have sworn that I was crying blood but he didn't care. Why would he? He was a monster who cared for himself alone.

“Too late for your pleas. I'll punish you since you don't want to be a good girl and obey.” Alpha Logan responded and Nina stood watching in delight. Ever since we became grown women she had always wanted what I had. Now, she had Alpha Logan all wrapped up on her finger tip.

Suddenly and immediately, the belt landed on me. Logan used his belt on me, whipping me like I didn't matter. He didn't stop even when there were bruises on my body. When the belt cut, he stopped and held out a bottle of my contraceptives for me to see.

“So you take this and you had me thinking that I was the one at fault for us not having a child?”

I looked up. That was the reason he was whipping me with his belt. I couldn't get myself up to beg him to forgive me even though I didn't regret using those pills.

“How dare you look your Alpha in the face?” Nina screamed at me.

“Shut up, you bitch.” I screamed back, rage snarling in my veins.

“What did you just say?” Logan got upset by my statement. “You'll give respect to my Luna.” He yelled directly at my face and slapped me.

Luna? Did he just refer to Nina as his Luna? When did Nina become his Luna and what exactly was I to this monster? His punch bag?

I could see stars flying just from that effect. My head ached as I fell to the floor. I didn't care anymore what he would do to me, I only wished for death.

Suddenly the door popped open and fierce looking men barged in.

“Don't you ever lay your miserable hands on her ever again!” The familiar voice bellowed at Alpha Logan and Nina. I still couldn't look up because of the pain in my ribs.

I wondered who had the guts to speak to the Alpha like that as I looked up. The man made his way to me, stretching out his hands to me.

“Hello Morgana. We meet again.”

The stranger!

Why was he here? I questioned myself and tried shutting my eyes to see if this was a dream but it wasn't. He was standing right there in front of me with his hands stretched out towards me.

He helped me up and took me to a seat.

“What are you doing here?” I asked in shock. He was still the same person only that he looked more handsome in this suit of his and more dangerous now. Those blue eyes of his was something I couldn't forget.

“I came to keep my promise by taking you to my park.” He smiled again and at once I remembered that he didn't say his name the previous time.

“What's your name?” I asked, quickly even though this wasn't the perfect place for such conversation.

“Xavier. My name is Xavier.” He said, his eyes steadily on me.

“Who are you and what right do you have to barge into this Palace like that? Guards? Seize him now!” Nina ordered the guards who seemed taken aback with everything that was happening before them.

The Palace guards ran towards him but Xavier's men seemed stronger as they surrounded him, fighting off the Palace guards like they were mere men and not trained soldiers.

“What the hell is going on here?” Alpha Logan charged at the guards who were too scared to attack for the loss of their life. “And who the hell are you?”

“Bow before the Lycan King!” A man who had walked in with the stranger announced and I gasped, looking towards the door to see who the Lycan king was. Why was he here in the first place?

But no one showed up and suddenly the men who had ran in, bowed, all of them facing Xavier.

What the hell!

Was he the Lycan king? How could he? The stranger I had met? Did I have s*x with a Lycan King?

“Xavier.” My voice trailed off, my face covered with confusion.

“How dare you call the king by his name? Do you have a death wish?” The initial spokesman charged at me but one look from Xavier put him in check.

“I can explain.” Xavier approached me, trying to hold my hands but I took two steps away from him. “Morgana, don't be like that, please.”

“Don't lie to me, please.” I pleaded with him hoping he would tell me the truth. “Who are you?”

“It's like you heard him say.” His eyes never left mine. “I am Xavier, the Lycan king and with the power invested in me,I order these fools to bow before you as the Lycan's mate.” He said, then turned to Alpha Logan and Nina. “Now!!”

With a face filled with shame, I watched my tormentors kneel before me as my eyes widened in shock for the umpteenth time today.
