Jed looked at me and shrugged as he stood and walked off into the garden, his head bent to smell the flowers as he went. LaKeemba strolled off, too, and Sharon moved to a particularly colorful bed in one corner of the garden and began studying the petals there. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson were leaning against each other on a bench; their eyes closed as they rested together.
