CHAPTER 59
IN A NEW LIGHTJamie woke up and realised where she was. Diana’s house. She’d had a few sips of wine and was out of it. But where was Diana? She had a blanket over her, so she pushed it aside and went in search for Diana, who wasn’t in the kitchen. As she stepped into the corridor towards the bedrooms, she jolted when Diana came out of a room.
“Oh, you’re awake.” Her eyes glistened as she tucked something behind her. “It’s time for your surprise, dear Jamie.” Her tone was strange. Had she ruined their night by falling asleep after her wine?
Diana fiddled with her back pocket as they sat back down on the couch. She stared at Jamie strangely. “We’ve known each other for a long time Jamie, and in that time, you never once suspected anything?”
