ONE MONTH LATERJamie rested her back against the comfortable leather, staring at the man she loved in the driver’s seat. It had been a close call when Diana shot him in the back, but luckily it hadn’t done too much damage, and he was recovering with rehabilitation.
Angelo turned. “I know it’s been a month since you found out, but will you be okay with Diana being in the courtroom when you have to testify?”
Jamie nodded. “I’ll be okay, though it’s not every day you hear your half-sister tried to kill you and is a sociopath. My father took it hard, but the money he kept paying Diana’s mother obviously paid off for her. She bought that fancy house she rented out.”
