RETIREMENT PARTYTwo weeks later, Jamie, Bella, and Liz entered a hotel venue on the outskirts of Melbourne to celebrate Tim’s retirement from the police force. She and her friends had been invited along with most of the police force. She thought about Angelo, who would most likely work permanently with Marco, but why did she care?
Jamie initially wondered if attending this party was a conflict of interest, but technically the detectives were working the case of the young girls rather than with anything to do with her threatening notes. Despite it all, they were friends with Marco, and Bella was his fiancée.
